On Sunday September 21st we’ll be hosting a 3 round sealed tournament where you and your partner-in-crime fighting will each make a 40 card minimum deck out of 2 prerelease kits before competing against other teams that did the same! Each round you win earns you another booster pack of this hot new set! Whether this is your first time at a prerelease, or you’re a seasoned crime fighter, our prerelease event is a great way to experience the new set before it’s officially released!

What makes this event our “Main Event”?
This event will be a 3 round sealed tournament where players build a 40 card deck out of their prerelease kit and compete against other opponents who did the same. Better yet, each round you win earns you another pack of this amazing new set! Still not exciting enough? We’ll also be enjoying some spectacular Spiderman-themed snacks to mark the grand entrance of Spiderman into Magic: the Gathering.

What’s the Friday Funday Prerelease!
The first even we’re hosting is our Casual Friday Funday Prerelease. All participants will receive a Prerelease kit to build a 40 card minimum deck (we provide basic lands), and then play in a 3 round best of 3 tournament! Better yet, it doesn’t matter if you win or lose as all participants will receive 2 booster packs just for joining us!
When: Friday, September 19th 12pm

Today’s event is a 2 Headed Giant event! Where teams for two players will go head to head against other teams to win packs and show off their deckbuilding prowess! Each team gets two Prerelease kits to build their decks out of and they’ll share a health pool of 30!

Entry is A Box of Magic the Gathering: Spiderman
That’s right Magic players, with the prerelease of Magic the Gathering: Spiderman there’s also a new type of prerelease: the Commander Box League!
For this event all participants who’d like to participate buy a box of play boosters of Magic the Gathering: Spiderman and follow the deck building rules below!
Here are the basic rules you need to know:
- You’ll construct a 60-card deck out of the contents of a single Play Booster box and any number of basic lands.
- You can include anything you open inside your Play Booster box, but not any promos you receive. That means you can include the contents of any Box Topper packs but not things like Buy-a-Box promos.
- Your deck can include multiple copies of cards you open with the same name.
- You ignore the color identity rule in deck building. Play any legal commander you open, then fill your deck with cards of any color.
- The color identity of your commander(s) still applies to cards like Arcane Signet to explicitly refer to color identity.
- Games are played in pods of three to four players with normal Commander rules. You start at 40 life, track commander damage, and so on.

Players compete by using a 40 card deck they get from a Build and Battle Kit.
Each kit comes with one random deck and 4 booster packs of the newest set for players to add to their deck! After the event each player will also get 3 packs of the new set!
