Join Gnome Games for a special launch event for Cat Fluxx from Looney Labs! We’re celebrating the launch of this purr-fectly chaotic card game on Tuesday, September 9th, 2025, at The Pawffee Shop Cat Cafe in Appleton.

Get ready for an evening filled with feline fun and strategic card-playing. Your $20 gets you your very own copy of Cat Fluxx, PLUS you’ll be supporting a great cause: $2 from every entry will be donated directly to Safe Haven Pet Sanctuary, helping local cats and kittens in need.

Preorder Cat Fluxx at any Gnome Games location or purchase a ticket here online and $2 from every copy will be donated to the kitties at Safe Haven Pet Sanctuary.  Preorders will get a copy of Cat Fluxx and a special promo card (while supplies last).  If you preorder in store, let the Gnomes know if you’d like to attend the launch event, and pick up your deck there or in store.  Then join us on September 9th from 5-7pm at The Pawffee Shop in Appleton for a special Launch Party with the kitties!

Gnome Games has teamed up with our good friends at Looney Labs for some fantastic treats just for attendees:

  • Limited Edition Promo Card: Be one of the first to preregister or preorder in store and receive a special promo card, limited to one per preorder while supplies last.

Camping Fluxx – New Game Alert!

Camping Fluxx from Looney Labs available at Gnome Games

Let’s go camping!

Did you remember to bring the Tent and the Backpacks?  Did you remember the S’mores and to build the Campfire?  Hopefully the Mosquitoes stay away!

Enjoy all the fun of camping either out in nature or in your own home with Camping Fluxx from Looney Labs!

Fluxx is the card game where everything can change all the time, including the rules and how to win.  But don’t worry, as long as you can read and have a good poker face you’ll be on your way to being a Fluxx Champion!

The game starts with 3 cards for everyone and the basic rule: on your turn you draw one card and play one card.  You want to have the needed Keeper cards in front of you to reach the Goal on the table.  But!  There are new goals in the Fluxx deck and if you have the Trail Mix and someone thinks you’re going to play Chocolate next to get the Goal of Really Good Trail Mix they might play a new Goal from their hand and change how to win!  Now the goal is Toasting Marshmallows and you have to think of a new strategy.

There are also new Rules in the Fluxx deck.  If a new Rule is played it goes next to the Basic Rule card and now the Ghost Stories Rule lets you draw an extra card for a price.  Action cards can be played and whatever they say must be followed, then they go away.  They might let you steal Keepers, force everyone to discard cards, or even trash a new Rule!  And finally Creeper cards can prevent you from winning even if you have the goal until you find a way to discard or send them on to another player.  Like those pesky Mosquitoes.
