Every Wednesday from 4pm-6pm we’ll be hosting a Pokémon League night for players of all skill levels and ages! Whether you’re an experienced trainer looking to perfect your deck, or you’re just starting your Pokémon journey join us to meet other trainers and play the Pokémon TCG! This casual event is the perfect way to experience and learn about the Pokémon TCG.
Every Wednesday at 6pm we’re hosting a Pokémon Tournament at Gnome Games Appleton North! Whether you’re a new trainer looking to start your Pokémon TCG journey, an experienced player trying a new deck, or a player looking to practice before a League Cup, this tournament is the perfect way to try out the Pokémon TCG’s Standard Format. Better yet, each round you win earns you a Pokémon Prize Pack! So don’t wait, grab a deck and be the very best (like no one ever was) to start your Pokémon adventure today!

With Standard format rotating soon, a reminder:
For in-person Play! Pokémon events, the Standard format rotation for 2026 competitive play will go into effect on April 10, 2026.
Cards with the “G” regulation mark will no longer be legal for play in the 2026 Standard format. Cards with “H,” “I,” and “J” regulation marks will be legal to use (as will any future regulation marks that may be released). A card’s legality status is not based on which expansion it’s from. Even if a card is from a recently released expansion, players will need to refer to the regulation mark on the bottom of the card to see whether that card is legal for play. New cards still must follow the appropriate waiting period to become tournament legal, which is typically two weeks after their release.

Each Build-and-Battle kit is ready to play out of the box. They contain one of four unique foil promo cards based on the deck you get! Open your Build-and-Battle to find a Crobat, Goodra, Delphox, or Ampharos! Upgrade your deck with the additional 4 packs in your kit! Each round is 30 minutes, best of 1. Players get 3 packs at the end of the tournament just for participating!
Prereleases are a great way to pick up and play Pokémon in a more casual environment and learn how to build decks.
Players must have a Pokémon ID to participate. Don’t have one? We can help you set one up in-store!
The Pokémon TCG is all about battling with various cards from the Pokémon franchise! You and your opponent will face off in a Pokémon battle and try to Knock Out each other’s Pokémon. The first player to Knock Out 6 Pokémon wins the game! Using cards such as Pokémon, Trainers, Arenas, and more, battle your way to victory!
Not interested in battling? That’s where the trading comes in! Meet up with like-minded players to chat about your favorite Pokémon and engage in equal trades to collect more of what you like!

What’s a Two-Headed Giant event?
Play, plan, and battle as a team. In Two-Headed Giant, each two-player teams shares a starting 30 life and takes their turn simultaneously. The team does not share any other resources other than life. For instance, any reference to “you” on a card still applies to the individual holder.
Effects that read “each opponent” or “each player”, however, affect each team member separately. Players can block any creature(s) that are attacking them, their teammates or Planeswalkers their team controls.
All participants will receive a Prerelease kit to build a 40-card minimum deck (we provide basic lands). Teams pool the cards they open and build decks together, then play in a 3-round best-of-3 tournament! Win-a-match, win-a-pack of Marvel Super Heroes for each member of the winning team!

Wednesday, May 20th at 5:30pm is our Chaos Draft at Gnome Games Appleton North!
This special Magic the Gathering event is a Chaos Draft! We’ll have up to 2 pods of 8, with each pod having 24 different packs to choose from. Each pack is put face-up for all of the players to see at the start of the draft. Players in each pod are put in a random order, 1-8. The first player in each pod will pick from their 24 possible packs, then the second, etc. When it gets to the 8th (or last) player, that player will pick their first pack, then pick their second pack; with the order continuing 7 – 1. After the first player picks their second pack, they’ll pick their third and it will go through the player order one last time 2-8. Until everyone has their 3 packs!
Players then do a 3 pack draft with those packs that they’ve picked, build 40 card minimum decks and then will play 3 rounds! Each round will be Win-A-Match, Win-A-Promo Pack; and the over all winner of each pod will win a special pack from the Gnome Games Vault!

Explore the wonderous world of Disney Lorcana with your fellow Illumineers every Monday! Join us from 4pm-8pm during our Disney Lorcana Illumineer’s League to play with a favorite deck (or build a new one), trade, or just hang out with your fellow Illumineers. This event is an Open play style of event for all ages, where promos will be given out randomly to participants.
Entry for this event is $5 or the purchase of $5 in Disney Lorcana Product.
