It’s time to get ready for summer! Here at Gnome Games we believe that everyone should be able to have fun this summer so we put together our BIGGEST two-day learn to play extravaganza yet! There is something fun for everyone to try and staff will be available to assist with teaching all new players!

Learn to Play KillTeam with General Will
Ages 13+ Saturday, May 4th 10am – Noon Free!
Enter the Warhammer 40k Universe – a bleak future filled with only one certainty: War! In KillTeam, each player has a small tactical force that they use to try and complete missions in campaign style play. KillTeam is a perfect way to get some experience and learn about the different factions of Warhammer 40k!
For this event, General Will will be available to teach and give tactical advice to the new recruits! We will also take sign ups for the Summer Leagues
Miniature Paint and Take
Ages 8+ with adult or 10+ Saturday, May 4th 11am – 2pm Free!
Have you ever wanted to paint a miniature for D&D or Warhammer 40k but don’t know where to start? This is the event for you! Each painter can come and go as they please during this open, free form painting event. Each painter will get a Space Marine miniature to test their brush skills on – and you get to take it home with you! Experienced painters are also welcome to come in and show off some of their techniques, and offer advice to beginning painters!
Learn to Play Yu-Gi-Oh!: Speed Duels
Ages 10+ Saturday, May 4th Noon – 3pm $5/player
It’s time to DUEL! Yu-Gi-Oh! Speed Duels are the perfect way to learn the exciting collectible card game Yu-Gi-Oh! Each player will get a 20 card Speed Duel Deck and Staff will be available to teach the ins and outs of Dueling! Make sure you grab a summer Duel Schedule!
Learn to Play Dungeons and Dragons with Dungeon Master Dale!
Ages 8+ with adult or 10+ Saturday, May 4th 2pm – 4pm Session 1 4:30pm – 6:30pm Session 2 Free!
Calling all adventurers: A world of magic, monsters and treasure await! No experience is required to go on this quest but you best bring your imagination! Dungeon Master Dale specializes in teaching D&D and your first adventure is sure to be a blast! Seating is limited so please check in when you arrive to ensure your seat!

SUNDAY LEARN TO PLAY
Learn to Play Pokémon TCG with Professor Nate
Ages 8+ or 6+ if they have strong reading skills! (adults also welcome!) Sunday, May 5th 1pm – 3pm $10/player
Have you or your child ever wanted to start your very own Pokemon adventure? This is a perfect chance to hop in and learn from a real Pokemon Professor! Each new player will get to choose from a pre-built Pokemon theme deck, which they get to keep. Professor Nate will then teach everyone the basics of the Pokémon Trading Card Game! Each player will then be able to play their very first game of Pokémon! – With professor Nate near by to answer any questions and provide help as needed!

This entry level event is great for anyone interested in learning Magic: the Gathering! Each player will get a free learn to play deck as well as a special Open House promotional card! We will have experienced players and staff ready to help you through your first game.
Learn to Play KeyForge!
Ages 13+ Sunday, May 5th 3pm – 5pm $10/player
Welcome to KeyForge – A truly Unique card game from the creator of Magic the Gathering: Richard Garfield! In KeyForge every deck is One-of-a-kind, no one else will have the same deck as you! Players must learn the ins and outs of their deck in order to gather enough aember to forge 3 keys before their opponent! Each player in this event will get their very own, unique KeyForge deck! Staff will be available to help players learn this amazing game!

Welcome to Magic: the Gathering. Stop in during this beginner friendly event and learn the basics of this strategic, social and most of all FUN card game! No Experience? No cards? No problem! Every new player will be given their very own Welcome Deck for Free! After a brief rules explanation from one of our staff, players will have a chance to play against each other in a friendly non-competitive learning environment!
Have you ever wanted to explore an ancient cave, battle a horde of goblins, solve a magical murder mystery or stockpile mounds of glittering treasure? If so you won’t want to miss this learn to play event!
Dungeons & Dragons is a cooperative storytelling game where each player role-plays an adventurer with unique (and sometimes magical) abilities. As a group, you will work together using each of your strengths to overcome a wide range of obstacles.
During the learn to play event, you will be provided a character and our on staff Dungeon Master will walk you through the basics of play in a one hour beginner adventure!
Unless you live under a rock, you surely have heard of Pokemon! This learn to play event is the perfect chance to see what the cultural phenomenon is all about!
In the Pokemon Trading Card Game, players collect cards, build decks and battle against other trainers. During this event players will be taught everything they need to know to play, by an official Pokemon Professor! After this brief explanation, you will then get to use a specific learn to play deck to play against other new players. Professor Nate will always be around help players and answer any questions that parents or players have! Best of all, after you play your first full game, you will get to pick an exclusive Pokemon League Promo card!
It’s Time To DUEL! Yu-Gi-Oh is a hugely popular anime based card game, and with the recent release of the new Speed Duel starter decks, learning to play has never been easier!
In the game of Yu-Gi-Oh, players try and reduce each others life points to zero by summoning powerful monsters, unleashing devastating spells and outwitting their opponents with traps. Speed Duels has taken everything from the main game and condensed it so it is easier to learn and faster to play!
During this learn to play event, each player will get a starter set of 3 Speed duel decks and a special yugioh pen and notepad to track life points. After a brief rules explanation players will have a chance to use their new decks to duel other players! In addition, 4 lucky players will be given limited edition Yu-Gi-Oh Speed Duel Play mats as well!
Entry for each Pokemon League Cup is $20 per player + tax
Preregistration for the Pokemon League Cup is highly advised to ensure you have a seat. On site registration will open 30 minutes before each League Cup for any remaining available seats.
All players must check in with a complete Deck registration form no later than 15 minutes before the event is scheduled to start. Anyone who has not turned in a completed Deck registration Sheet by the Tournament Start Time may receive a 1st game loss.
Swiss rounds will be best of 1 game matches
Top Cut will be best of 3 game matches
Win a match, win 2 Boosters for all rounds.
The winner in each age division will receive a Greninja League Cup Champion Playmat
All Gnome Games Pokemon League Cup events are Standard Format. The current Standard format includes all cards from the XY—BREAKthrough expansion forward, XY Series promo cards numbered XY67 and higher, and all Sun & Moon Series promo cards.
We will also coordinate League Challenges so that all players have the best possible chance to play in all of the Gnome Games Pokemon Championship Series events. Watch for the League Challenge Date announcements in early June.
Get started in the world of competitive Pokémon TCG play at League Challenge tournaments. League Challenges are smaller entry-level events on a local scale. In Pokémon TCG League Challenge tournaments, players can earn Championship Points and work toward earning an invitation to the Pokemon World Championships!
December League Challenge
Sunday December 15th Gnome Games Green Bay East Registration opens at 12:30 Tournament Seats at 1:00 Entry $5 Standard Format Best of 1, 30 Minute Rounds Decklists are required
League Challenge events are open to all players. Entry fee for all players is $5.
Players need to bring their own legal 60-card deck. This event is Standard Format, and decklists are required for all players. You can learn more about Standard Format Here
Decklists must be turned in when you register for the event.
League Challenge events consist of only Swiss rounds; there is no top cut to single-elimination rounds.
Players must have a Pokémon Trainer Club account with a Player ID attached, and must have opted in to the Play! Pokémon program in order to earn points and prizes. All participants will receive 1 Play! Point just for playing, and the top four players in each age division will win a special promo card. You can get a Free POP ID at any Gnome Games Pokemon League or at the League Challenge.
