Adapt to shifting rules and goals while utilizing letter-featured Keeper cards to build words, form acronyms, and spell your way to victory.
Word Fluxx (published by Looney Labs) puts a creative, linguistic spin on the classic, chaotic card game where the rules and winning conditions constantly shift. Starting with the basic premise of drawing one card and playing one card, the game quickly transforms as New Rule cards enter play. The primary gameplay objective centers on flexible vocabulary and goal adaptation: Keeper cards feature individual letters instead of traditional items, and players must collect specific letter combinations to satisfy evolving Goal cards—ranging from standard nouns and verbs to palindromes and three-letter acronyms (TLAs).
The primary mechanical hurdle stems from balancing your own letter collection against opponents who can wipe the board, alter the rules, or snatch victory away by changing the active Goal card at a moment's notice. Featuring twice the typical number of letter Keepers to ensure plenty of building options, the game is designed for 1 to 6 players aged 8 and up, with quick sessions playing out in 10 to 30 minutes. To spell F-U-N and outwit your rivals, you must manage your hand, pivot when the alphabet shifts, and lock down your winning word before the rules change again.
