Convince your fellow diners that you are a genuine flesh-and-blood mortal, navigate awkward earthling social rituals, and conceal your extraterrestrial or robotic origins in a laugh-out-loud social deduction party game.
Totally Human (published by Outset Media / OSM) leans directly into absurd sci-fi comedy, awkward dinner party banter, and covert deception. The game places players in the center of an ordinary earthly gathering—except half the table are disguised alien invaders or advanced androids doing their absolute best to impersonate human beings. The primary gameplay objective centers on covert deduction and social blending: authentic human players work to unmask the unconvincing impostors at the table, while the alien infiltrators attempt to blend in seamlessly, mimic mundane human customs, and survive the vote without exposing their bizarre misunderstandings of everyday human life.
The primary mechanical hurdle stems from answering relatable human conversational prompts without giving away your hidden role. Each round presents a scenario, social dilemma, or basic trivia question about standard terrestrial habits—such as favorite foods, daily routines, emotional reactions, or etiquette. While human players answer honestly from their own lived experiences, the "Totally Human" impostors are given subtly skewed prompts, missing context, or absurd synthetic directives. Players engage in open debate, interrogating each other's suspicious phrasing, robotic cadence, or bizarre logic before casting an elimination vote. Impostors must think quickly on their feet to craft answers that sound believable enough to pass scrutiny, while human players must pick up on minor conversational tells without sounding weird themselves. Designed for 4 to 8 players aged 12 and up, a complete game plays out in a swift and lively 20 to 30 minutes. To survive the dinner, you must master the art of small talk, keep a straight face, and convince everyone that you are, without a doubt, totally human.
