Tokaido Duo is a standalone game that distills the serene experience of the original Tokaido into a head-to-head competition. Unlike the original, each player controls three different characters simultaneously: the Pilgrim, the Merchant, and the Artist.
On your turn, you’ll draft dice to move these characters along their unique paths—visiting temples, seaside gardens, and hot springs. The game ends when one player completes their character's objective, requiring you to balance the progress of all three travelers to ensure you aren't outmaneuvered on the beautiful island of Shikoku.
