Screaming Billy

Cultivate your prize vegetable garden, defend your hard-earned harvest against mischievous livestock raids, and react at breakneck speed when the farmyard's most obnoxious goat lets out an ear-splitting bleat.

Screaming Billy (designed by Daniel Lopez de Medrano Jr. and Juan Carlos Santana, published by Kawaii Lab Games, Item #KLG860015190475) is a high-energy, real-time party card game that blends light set collection with loud, laugh-out-loud physical reflexes. Taking on the roles of determined backyard farmers, players compete to cultivate their crops before pesky barnyard animals ruin the harvest. The primary gameplay objective centers on set collection and hand management: players draw and flip cards to gather two of each vegetable variety (such as carrots, pumpkins, tomatoes, and corn), racing to assemble a complete garden harvest before their opponents.

The primary mechanical hurdle stems from navigating unpredictable goat action cards and surviving the sudden, chaotic arrival of the titular screaming goat. As players flip cards on their turns, they reveal fresh veggies to add to their plots or unleash troublesome livestock that steal harvested produce, freeze turns, or trigger farmyard swaps. When the Screaming Billy card hits the table, turn order ceases immediately: every player must cover their ears, yell out a goat scream, and slap the center discard pile. The last player to complete the physical sequence loses two precious vegetable cards back to the farmyard chaos. Designed for 2 to 4 players aged 7 and up, a complete barnyard riot wraps up in an energetic 10 to 20 minutes. To win the harvest, you must manage your crop sets, stay alert through every flip, and keep your hands ready the moment Billy starts screaming.
