Celebrate a hard-fought dungeon crawl with copious amounts of ale, cutthroat gambling, and chaotic tavern brawls in the latest standalone expansion to the beloved fantasy drinking card game.
The Red Dragon Inn 10 (published by SlugFest Games) brings a fresh party of unique adventurers into the chaotic tavern for a night of boasting, drinking, and brawling. Moving away from cooperative dungeon crawling or heavy map movement, this long-running card game franchise focuses purely on the humorous aftermath: what fantasy heroes do with their hard-earned loot. The primary gameplay objective centers on endurance and wealth retention: players take on the roles of distinct fantasy characters with customized decks, managing their hands to buy drinks for friends, cheat at gambling, and dish out rough-and-tumble damage, all while trying to be the last conscious adventurer with gold left in their pouch.
The primary mechanical hurdle stems from balancing your character's physical Fortitude against their escalating Alcohol Content. On each turn, players play Action cards to affect the table, buy a drink for another player's drink pile, and reveal a drink from their own pile to consume. If a character's Alcohol marker ever meets or exceeds their Fortitude marker, they pass out in a drunken stupor and are eliminated, their remaining gold split among the survivors. Likewise, if a player runs out of gold, they are kicked out of the inn. Fully playable as a 2-to-4 player standalone game or combinable with any other Red Dragon Inn set to support massive 8+ player tavern brawls, a single match plays out in an uproarious 45 to 60 minutes. To claim the best room in the inn, players must leverage their character's unique asymmetric mechanics, time their counter-spells ("Sometimes" and "Anytime" cards) perfectly, and aggressively gamble away their rivals' loot.
