Compete as one of the realm's powerful princesses in a ruthless 24-hour trial of combat and guile, customize your deck at the Bazaar, and claim the empty throne.
Queen by Midnight (designed by Kyle Shire and published by Darrington Press) is an immersive, high-energy battle-royale deck-building game set in a dark fantasy realm. Following the death of the Midnight Queen, the realm's princesses are summoned to invoke the "Rule By Midnight"—a secret trial where competitors must battle, scheme, and outmaneuver one another. The primary gameplay objective centers on tactical deck-building, resource management, and direct player confrontation: each player selects an asymmetrical Princess with unique gameplay mechanics and builds their deck using tailored starting cards and shared Bazaar cards.
The primary mechanical hurdle stems from balancing aggressive player attacks with shifting alliances in a multiplayer free-for-all. The game's striking physical centerpiece is a spinning Clock Dice Tower that tracks rounds, displays cards available for purchase, and dispenses dice as it rotates to face each player on their turn. Designed for 3 to 6 players aged 12 and up, an intense tactical brawl plays out in 60 to 90 minutes. To survive the night and be crowned the new Midnight Queen, you must master your princess's specific style, manage your health and power, and outlast your rivals before the clock strikes twelve.
