Moving away from standard flat cardboard maps and simple roll-and-move child mechanics, this title leans entirely into three-dimensional structural engineering. The core objective is a clever mix of collaboration and competition: players work together to reconstruct a massive, crumbling palace for a demanding jungle monkey, but independently compete to earn the highest amount of Banana Points by creating the tallest, most elaborate staircases.

The primary strategic hurdle lies in navigating the tension between vertical height and your purchasing currency. On your turn, you must build a continuous staircase that connects the existing temple structure on the central LEGO baseplate to a new anchoring point. The taller and more complex your custom archway is, the more Monkey Credits you instantly generate for that turn. You then immediately spend those credits to buy powerful Monkey Cards from a shared market. These cards grant you permanent income—increasing the number of bricks, arches, and decorative elements you get to draw into your supply at the start of your next turn. True tactical mastery requires balancing spatial physics with engine building: you want to snake your path upward to claim valuable gold arches, while intentionally placing your pieces to block your rivals from easily building off your hard work.
