Guesstimation (published by Outset Media / OSM, Item #10941) levels the playing field of traditional trivia by turning every single question into a numerical guessing challenge. Moving away from games that punish players for not memorizing obscure encyclopedic facts, this title ensures that practically nobody knows the exact answer. The primary gameplay objective centers on approximate reasoning: a reader reveals an absurd or fascinating numerical prompt—spanning weights, dates, distances, counts, and currencies—and every player secretly jots down their best estimate, aiming to be the closest without stressing over perfection.

The primary mechanical hurdle stems from balancing bold intuition against strategic margin of error. Each round, a designated category die determines which flavor of trivia is in play, such as Dollars & Cents, World Records, Time Traveler, Numbers in Nature, What Year Was That?, or No Way!. Questions range from estimating the average number of grapes in a bottle of wine to the top speed of a charging hippo or the total weight of the world's largest cheese wheel. Once all estimates are revealed, the player closest to the true figure earns the point (or card), with bonus scoring mechanisms rewarding spot-on answers. Designed for 2 or more players (or large party teams) aged 12 and up, a match plays out over a lively 30 to 45 minutes. To win, you don't need a PhD—you just need sharp common sense, quick scaling math, and the guts to trust your gut.
