Test your speed and sequential card-building skills in the timeless American classic, racing against opponents to play out your entire stockpile from 1 to 150.
Flinch (published by Winning Moves Games) is the legendary, century-old stockpile card game created originally in 1905. Regarded as a precursor and spiritual sibling to modern favorites like Skip-Bo, this traditional game relies on sharp focus and fast-paced numerical sequencing. The primary gameplay objective centers on hand management and sequential card dumping: each player starts with a private stockpile of cards, and the first person to successfully play out all of their stockpile cards in numerical order (from 1 upwards) claims victory.
The primary mechanical hurdle stems from managing your hand, your private reserve piles, and the shared center building stacks while keeping a close eye on your opponents' progress. Players draw cards, build ascending numerical sequences in the center play area, and tactically store cards in their reserve piles for future turns. Designed for 2 to 4 players aged 7 and up, a nostalgic round plays out in about 20 to 30 minutes. To outpace the competition and avoid getting flustered, you must watch the changing table state, plan your sequences ahead, and empty your stockpile before anyone else.
