Moving far away from the massive table-hogging town mats of its predecessor, this standalone release focuses entirely on tight spatial manipulation. The core objective is a cozy yet thinky race for points: players take turns blindly drawing chunky dragon tokens from a velvet bag, strategically placing them onto a shared grid, and rearranging the board to fulfill specific geometric patterns displayed on their private hand of shop cards.

The primary hurdle lies in maximizing your placement combos while managing the stacking thresholds of a shared central board. On your turn, you place your drawn token onto an empty space or stack it up to three high on an existing dragon. You then "fire up" the unique tactical ability of the dragon type you just placed—such as Bread, Crystal, Meat, Iron, Potion, or Plant—allowing you to shift, slide, or swap tokens across the grid. The strategic depth spikes when you pull rare, dual-colored Hydragons out of the bag, which count as multiple elements for pattern requirements and grant powerful multi-choice abilities. Unlike the Deluxe version's transforming box, the Standard Edition features a classic two-part box and a traditional fold-out flat board, but fully preserves the rich gameplay, the advanced variable "Fancy Dragon" setups, "The Fountain" module, and a punishing solo campaign mode into a smooth, travel-friendly 30-minute session.
