Azure (published by Bitewing Games) is a strategic two-player board game rooted in mythological energy lines and elemental mastery. Inspired by the Four Auspicious Beasts—the Azure Dragon, Vermilion Bird, White Tiger, and Black Tortoise—players compete to channel earth energy (Lung Mei) across the realm. The primary gameplay objective centers on resource management and spatial positioning: players take turns placing stones, spending matching qi cards to cover board spaces, gathering boons, and earning the favor of legendary beasts to race toward the end of the wisdom path.

The primary mechanical highlight is its modular board system featuring over 10,000 possible layouts using four double-sided boards arranged in a 2x2 grid. It also includes an optional "Gifted" module for advanced players that introduces one-time variable special abilities. Designed specifically for 2 players aged 8 and up, tactical duels play out in a brisk 20 minutes. To claim victory, you must carefully calculate your qi expenditures, block your rival's scoring lanes, and invoke the ancient beasts.
