Join us at Gnome Games Appleton East for our Lorcana Whispers in the Well Prerelease!
Lorcana is back at it with their new set, Whispers in the Well, and you get an exclusive chance to see it first! Whispers in the Well marks the debut of glimmers from Disney’s Gargoyles. These characters bring a dark, foreboding presence to the game, which is sure to excite fans of the TV show.
Our Prerelease Event on November 8th is a Sealed Deck Event. Players receive 6 packs of Whispers in the Well, then craft a 40 card deck out of them! Afterwards, there are 3 Swiss style rounds in a tournament, where each round won awards you with another pack! Each participants gets a special “The Horseman Strikes!” promo card! Our entry to this event is $50.
What is Whispers in the Well about?
Bringing an air of mystery to the realm, Whispers roam the Inkwell Caverns. These new types of glimmers are not fully formed, having been summoned off torn or damaged Lorebook pages. Light your path! It will take some detective work and sleuthing magic to get to the bottom of this mystery. Grab your magnifying glass and follow the whispers. With a team of glimmers who possess cunning minds, observant eyes, and playful attitudes, you’ll uncover clues that await you below. Not only will you face off against the Headless Horseman, but you’ll also happen upon other characters from this classic folk tale, including Ichabod Crane, Katrina Van Tassel, and Brom Bones!

Join us at Gnome Games Gnome West for our Riftbound Origins Deck Event!

To celebrate the release of Riftbound, we are hosting an event with the new Champion Decks! Entrants get a deck of their choice (while supplies last) and two packs to crack open to upgrade them, then battle it out with other players! This event is aimed at teaching people how to play Riftbound, so we will not have strict tournament rounds. Instead, anyone that plays at least one full round will get a special promo!
The three champion decks will be Jinx, Viktor, and Lee Sin. These are all characters from the developer Riot Games’ League of Legends Franchise.
What is Riftbound?
Riftbound is a brand new Trading Card Game from Riot Games, based on the League of Legends franchise. In Riftbound, players choose their champions to use alongside their armies and spells to take control of battlefields. You can start with preconstructed decks, or build your own! A deck starts with a Champion Legend, which dictates the types of Domains (colors) that can be used in the deck. In Origins, all Champion Legends have two domains. Your Champion Legend also dictates your Chosen Champion, and both contribute to your strategy. Use additional units, spells, and gear to conquer and hold battlefields and strive for victory!

Join us for a Holiday Charity Event for Yu-Gi-Oh! at Gnome Games Green Bay East

Entry is Non-Perishable Food Items (5)
Have fun and Duel for a good cause! Bring 5 non-perishable food items and receive entry to the tournament.
Duelists will stake 1 food item per round against their opponent, and at the end of the tournament trade their food items for the same amount of packs!
Duel your opponents, and brush up on your Yu-Gi-Oh! knowledge because there’s going to be Yu-Gi-Oh! themed trivia for extra fun!

Join us at Gnome Games Green Bay West for our Magic the Gathering: Spider-Man Final Battle!
Saturday, November 1st we will be hosting a competitive level one-time event present by Magic the Gathering referred to as the Spider-Man Final Battle! Starting at 1 PM, players will sit and play in 3+ rounds of a Swiss style tournament where each match they win, they win a pack! Each Magic the Gathering set usually has a Store Championship event where players can compete for special promotional items. For Spider-Man, this is being replaced with the Final Battle. Only the winner will take home a very special reward: an alternate cover art comic book variant of The Amazing Spider-Man #1!

What do I need to participate?
A Wizards account is required for entry. Participants have to come prepared with a fully legal Standard 60 card deck. For reference, current standard legal sets are the following:

Pokémon TCG players need to bring their own 60-card deck. Players must have a Pokémon Trainer Club account with a Player ID attached, and they must have opted in to the Play! Pokémon program in order to earn Championship Points and prizes. All participants will receive 1 Play! Point just for playing.
A League Challenge is a small entry-level event that is held monthly by eligible Play! Pokémon Stores. In Pokémon League Challenge tournaments, competitors can earn Championship Points (CP) and work toward earning an invitation to the World Championships! These events are designed to be a competitor’s first experience of formal tournament competition before moving up to League Cups, Regional Championships, and beyond.
