One Piece navigators, helmsmen, and Captains: Saturdays in October Gnome Games is participating in the Pilot for Saturday tournaments!

These will be $15 events for entry, 3 round tournaments with special rules for deck construction! Prize support will include our familiar Win-A-Match, Win-A-Pack prizes with the latest set: Premium Booster: The Best Volume 2! As well as both a participation pack of the same set and a Gold Don!! card for playing in the event!

What are the special deck construction rules?
This is the Deck Limited format that Bandai is testing to help create a more casual event/tournament play style. Helping new players and returning players try out “non-meta” decks and play styles.

Prohibited Cards for Deck Limited Format

The following Leader card numbers are banned from use, including their alt-art design versions.

When can we use Premium Booster: The Best Volume 2 cards?
October 10th is the tournament legality date for cards from this set. That being said, if a card is a complete reprint from a previous set, there will not be an issue utilizing it.

How long will the Saturday tournaments last?
Currently for the month of October. If Bandai and/or Gnome see that the community receives it as another great opportunity to play One Piece each week, we’ll look towards keeping it on our schedule.

Should I bring new players or come as a new player myself?
Yes! New players should be able to play with any starter deck! The community of One Piece players has been great at celebrating new players joining the game.

When else do you play One Piece?
Thursdays at 6pm at Gnome Games Green Bay West!
Tuesdays at 6 pm at Gnome Games Green Bay East.
Wednesdays at 5pm at Gnome Games Appleton East.
Sundays at 1pm at Gnome Games Appleton North.

Welcome to the YCS VIP (Very Important Player) Qualifier for the Pittsburgh, PA Championship Series at Gnome Games Green Bay West! It’s the only qualifier in Wisconsin for this Championship Series so prepare your cards and your mind for the competition!

Sunday, October 19th at 11am we duel!
Registration is day of the event, starting at 10am.
$13.50+tax for the event, and you get 3 booster packs round 1 as part of entry.

A Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series (YCS) is a big, exciting 2-day event that takes place from Saturday to Sunday. Duelists from all over will attend to compete for exclusive prizes, earn invites to their next World Championship Qualifier, and spend the weekend Dueling, trading, and hanging out with hundreds of other Yu-Gi-Oh! fans.

In addition to the main Championship Series tournament, there are numerous Public Events, such as Win-A-Mat, Speed Duel, Attack of the Giant Card!!, and Regional Qualifier tournaments. Competitive or casual, there is something for everyone to do at a Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series weekend event.

A Duelist who wins a YCS VIP Qualifier earns the following benefits as a VIP:

  • FREE entry to the YCS, including the booster packs of the current booster release normally purchased at entry, Pre-Registration Yu-Gi-Oh! Coin*, and any YCS-specific participation item if applicable.
  • VIP registration. Let a line control staff member know you are a VIP and you will be escorted to the front of the line.
  • Two-Round Bye at the YCS (VIPs start the tournament in Round 3 with a 2-0 record (2 Wins and 0 losses))
  • Assigned seating throughout the course of the YCS Main Event in a VIP Section
  • YCS VIP Field Center Card

*In order to be eligible for any online pre-registration items, VIPs must still pre-register online. If an item requires a Deck List to be submitted before pre-registration closes in order for it to be awarded, the VIP must submit a valid Deck List while pre-registering to be eligible.

Please note that all VIPs must still pre- register, submit a Deck List on time and be present on site during the Duelist Meeting. Their names will not appear on the first and second Round pairings.

Join the Gnomes for a trip through the galaxy as the Legends of the Force Store Showdown is settled between the Legends of Gnome Games!

Saturday, September 27th at 2pm Gnome Games Green Bay West will host the latest Store Showdown! $20 entry gets players into the event!
Booster packs will and promos will be awarded for both participation, and winning matches during the event!

The Top 8 players will each get a Grand Inquisitor promo card, as will the Top 4 players, Finalists, and of course, the Champion stamped card will go to the event’s champion!

The tournament will be Premier format:

The Premier format operates under the following rules:

Your deck must consist of exactly one leader, exactly one base, and a minimum 50-card draw deck. You can also have a sideboard of up to 10 non-leader, non-base cards.

Your draw deck cannot include more than three copies of any one card.

In official Organized Play events, the winner of a Premier match is determined by best-of-three games in a 55-minute round.

What is a Store Showdown?

Store Showdowns take the form of a tournament and award prizes for both participation and placement. This is the most competitive that Casual Play gets, but the focus is still on having fun and learning the game, making these events the perfect opportunity for someone to dip their toes into the tournament scene!

The Yu-Gi-Oh World Championship is here! Come celebrate with us at our special event! We’ll be hosting a Swiss Rounds Based on Attendance Win-A-Match-Win-A-OTS Pack Event, and Participants will have the chance to win a set of Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG World Championship 2025 Celebration Event Promo Cards, presented in a black envelope with the World Championship 2025 logo emblazoned in gold to commemorate the special event. This year’s Celebration Event cards are two Yu-Gi-Oh!
