Magic the Gathering: Secrets of Strixhaven 2 Headed Giant Prerelease: Class 401 at Gnome Games Appleton East – $90

Join us at Gnome Games Appleton East for our Magic the Gathering: Secrets of Strixhaven 2 Headed Giant Prerelease!

On Saturday, April 18th at 2 PM, compete in a prerelease formatted for 2 Headed Giant! Each player opens up a Secrets of Strixhaven Prerelease kit, builds a minimum 40 card deck, and plays in 3 rounds of a Swiss style tournament! Round wins awards both team members with an additional pack of Secrets of Strixhaven! Rounds are 50 minutes, best of 1. Teams share a 30-life total and take their turn simultaneously. They untap, upkeep, draw, and attack as a unit!

Prereleases are a great way to test your deck building skills in a more casual environment, as well as test out a brand new set before its major release! For Secrets of Strixhaven, we have 4 other events!

Sunday Funday Prerelease – Sunday, April 19th at 1 PM – $45 Entry

Regular Prerelease – Tuesday, April 21st at 5 PM – $45 Entry

Last Chance Prerelease – Thursday, April 23rd at 5 PM – $45 Entry

What is Magic the Gathering?

Each of the five colors in Magic represent a different philosophy and a different playstyle. Choose your color(s) to decide which type of land you’ll be drawing resources (mana) from and what type of Magic you’ll wield. Magic the Gathering has several starter products to choose from, including Jumpstart Packs, Beginner Bundles, and more! The new Gundam Trading Card Game is a new way for fans of Gundam to get into TCG’s! The game features all Gundam fans favorite suits, pilots, and locations from across the series; and gives players the chance to pit them head to head against each other!

How do I begin?

Gundam has a variety of different starter decks with more on the way! Or pick up an Assembly Kit to get a starter deck and 3 min Gundam kits to use at tokens! Each Starter Deck comes with a ready to play 50 card deck, a Rulesheet/Playmat, and a Bonus Pack right in the deck to get you started!

What’s the event? 

We run a Casual Weekly Swiss Tournament! 3 Rounds of Win-A-Match-Win-A-Pack where every round you play you’ll get another pack of Gundam! Players also get a Promo Pack on Entry and the winner of the event gets a Winner Promo Pack!

Saturdays at 6pm we’ll have a Keeper here to run a table of MOTW from 6pm – 8:30pm! Table fees are $10. There are limited seats available for the Gnome Keeper, but we can supply an additional adventure to a valiant Keeper who will run for additional players.

These are perfect events for brand new or recent players to join. Our adventures will frequently focus on helping new players join Monster of the Week!

Pregenerated Characters will be available: Monster of the Week Pregenerated Characters for previews of some of the 1st level characters that will be available.

Bring your own dice or purchase a set when you come in! Are you ready to join the table?
