Gnome Games Stocking Stuffer of the 2018 – Railroad Ink from CMON Games!

Gnome Games is happy to announce that Railroad Ink from CMON has been selected as the 2018 Stocking Stuffer of the Year.

Each year Gnome Games selects one small game as the Stocking Stuffer of the Year.  The selection criteria include fun factor, replayability, value, and of course the ability to fit inside the normal stocking.  The Gnomes do not accept rewards, payment or consideration from the manufacturer in the selection of this award, and evaluate the games by playing them with friends, family, customers, and most importantly with kids as part of the Gnome Games Community Outreach and Family Game Night Program.

Railroad Ink has been selected as the 2018 Stocking Stuffer of the Year.

In Railroad Ink you are rolling dice with different transportation routes on them. What is rolled has to be drawn in on your board. Create networks to try to connect as many exits as possible to score points. Boards are dry erase and the markers are included. Railroad Ink is playable for 1-6 players.

There are 2 different versions. Both play the same but each has a different optional expansion to include in the game. The Blazing Red Edition has Volcano and Meteor dice, and the Deep Blue Edition has River and Lake dice. Both add their own unique twists to the basic Railroad Ink game. You can even combine two sets for a 12 player game.

Railroad Ink is a great brain teaser game. Trying to fit what is rolled into your map in the best way possible requires critical thinking skills and planning ahead for multiple outcomes. It is possible to play the game solo as well as a puzzle game.

For ages 8+ and playable in under 30 minutes Railroad Ink is great to travel with and, of course, fits in a stocking!

Congratulations Railroad Ink on being the Gnome Games Stocking 2018 Stuffer of the Year!

Honorable Mentions go out to:

The Lady and The Tiger by Jellybean Games

Sports Dice Football by Foxmind Games

Dungeon Mayhem by Wizards of the Coast

It was certainly a hard choice this year! You can find the Stocking Stuffer of this Year and the previous years along with many other great games at any Gnome Games!
