Learn to Play with the Gnomes: Market Fresh

Learn to Play Market Fresh with Gnome Games!  Wednesday, April 8th at 7pm, one of the Gnomes will be helping players learn to play the produce stacking board game Market Fresh!

This is a Free event! Seating is limited, but we’re looking to help introduce more players to great games every Wednesday during our weekly Board Game Night!

We’ll go over the basics of the game and then jump into playing the game with the Gnome community!

Union Arena Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition Rare Battle at Gnome Games Appleton East – $15

Join us at Gnome Games Appleton East for our Union Arena Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition Rare Battle!

On Saturday, March 14th at 2 PM, come compete in a Union Arena Rare Battle! The theme – Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition! Through 3 rounds of a Swiss style tournament, see who’s got what it takes to take home the exclusive Winner foil stamped Evangelion Test Type-01 Pseudo DMS Phase Promo card! Each participant receives an Event Pack Volume 7. 4th through 2nd place receive a special Evangelion Test Type-01 Pseudo DMS Phase Promo card. Each round won awards players with a pack!

A Union Arena legal deck is required to participate, and the deck must be themed around Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition. Additionally, players must register for the event through TCG+.

What is Union Arena?

UNION ARENA is a “Common Rules Trading Card Game”, which means players only need to learn 1 set of rules to play this card game using characters from series they love. In UNION ARENA you can find many popular characters from various series on the cards! Make a deck with characters from your favorite series and enjoy battles that even cross series!

Magic the Gathering: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Commander Party at Gnome Games Appleton East – $5

Join us at Gnome Games Appleton East for our Magic the Gathering: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Commander Party!

On Friday, April 3rd from 3 PM to 9 PM come play in this set’s Commander Party! These are like our regular Commander nights, but with a fun themed twist! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle rules are out on the table, and it’s all about pizza. Using a deck of Mystery Pizza tokens, play goes on as usual until players start to flip their Mystery Pizza tokens and reap the rewards! Or crash out, who’s to say?

Entry is $5 of Magic-related product. Anyone that participates receives an exclusive Courier of Comestibles promo card! Players should enter on the Companion app, which requires a Wizards account. Don’t have one? Sign up for an account here!

Our Magic Standard Showdown event is a constructed tournament where players compete in 1 on 1 matches for packs and exclusive promotional cards. These change with every set! This is a more competitive event, so decks are required to be standard legal according to Wizard of the Coast’s legality rulings.

Digimon Weekly Tournament at Gnome Games Appleton East – $7

Join us at Gnome Games Appleton East for our weekly Digimon tournament!

Every Sunday at 1 PM compete in our own Digimon tournament! Battle it out in 3 rounds of a Swiss style tournament to compete for promotional cards and packs. Each match you win, you win a pack of your choice! Weekly events are a great way to test out your decks, play against casual opponents, and chat about Digimon! Promotional card packs go out to all participants, and the grand winner gets their own Winner card pack!

Our entry for this event is $7, and your own deck is required to play! If you don’t have a deck, we have starter decks available in store to check out! Players need to register ahead of time on Bandai TCG+.

What is Digimon?

The Digimon Card Game is a competitive trading card game. Each player has a companion Digimon in the battle area to attack the opponent. Your Digimon evolves, gets stronger, and gains new power! You win by beating your opponent’s security (reducing your opponent’s Security Area cards to zero) and delivering a knockout blow!

To play the Digimon Card Game, you need a deck of cards. For your first time, we recommend a pre-built Starter Deck! You can strengthen your Digimon with Booster Packs to win battles! For more questions about Digimon, check out their Tutorials and “About Us” page!
