Dust off your sleuthing skills and sharpen your spellcasting focus, for Gnome Games invites you to an event unlike any other: Murder at the Gnome Games: a Magic: the Gathering Prerelease like no other, shrouded in the chilling mystery of Murder at Karlov Manor Prereleases that only you can solve!

Prepare to step into the vibrant world of mystery at your favorite Gnome Games store, as it is transformed into a scene of intrigue and suspense. A beloved figure has fallen, and sinister whispers hang heavy in the air. Could it be the charismatic, competitive Barnaby “Mana Burn” Bolt, forever vying for supremacy? Or perhaps the gentle Lyra “Land Whisperer” Willowbrook, championing environmental awareness? Every Planeswalker amongst us becomes a suspect, and every card cast holds a clue.

For one event at each store only, Gnome Games transforms into a stage for murder and mayhem. You are no longer just patrons seeking prereleases and preordained packs. You are investigators, thrust into a tangled web of deceit and suspicion.

Unravel the clues as you play in the Magic the Gathering Murders at Karlov Manor Prerelease.

This event type uses ONE Battle Rules so all participants use decks from the same title to battle for a “UNION RARE CARD”, which is only in this event! All participants receive an event pack, 4th through 2nd place receive an exclusive promo card, and the winner gets a special Winner card!

What do I need to participate?

A Union Arena legal deck is required to participate, and the deck has to be themed around YuYu Hakusho. Additionally, players must register for the event through TCG+.

UNION ARENA is a “Common Rules Trading Card Game”, which means players only need to learn 1 set of rules to play this card game using characters from series they love. What do I need to know for Deckbuilding?

Because of the nature of sealed events, decks can contain more than four cards with the same card number.  It can also contain more than four of each of the Special, Color, and Final trigger types. 5 booster packs contribute to creating as close to a 60 card deck as possible. A deck needs 3 Action Point cards, Raids can be performed using cards with two different colors, and five Special triggers can be in a deck. Bring your own sleeves from home or purchase some before the event!

UniVersus Guilty Gear: Strive Prerelease Event at Gnome Games Green Bay East – $30

Join us at Gnome Games Green Bay East for our UniVersus Guilty Gear: Strive Prerelease Event!

Celebrate the release of the new UniVersus set for Guilty Gear: Strive! Open up a prerelease kit, craft your own deck, and battle it out for prizes! Each match won awards you with another pack. Everyone that participates receives an exclusive Chimaki Roman Cancel Token, only available at these exclusive Prerelease events!

This event is a 3 round Swiss style tournament. Players have 50 minutes to build their decks. Afterwards, each round is 60 minutes, with matches being best of 3.

Players must register for the event on the UniVersus Gaming Network (UGN).

How does a Prerelease work for UniVersus?

Each Player is provided with six booster packs. Players then open their booster packs and use them to construct a 40 card minimum deck plus character card. Symbol restrictions are ignored; a Player may play any card from the provided booster packs regardless of their chosen character’s
symbols. Play is then considered as normal with the following exceptions: During play, if a Player runs out of cards in their deck and cycle they remove 5 cards instead of 10.

Up to 24 players will be eligible to play at this event

You will need a valid Riftbound account to sign-up for this event.

Each player will get a Participation Promo, a pack of Origins, and a chance to win more throughout the event!
When you win-a-match, you’ll win-a-pack! The Top 8 players will get another promo, and the top player for the day will get a playmat!

408. End of Match Procedure

    • 408.1. A match is complete once a match result is recorded by players or a tournament official.
    • 408.2. If the time limit for a competition round is reached before a winner is determined, the player whose turn it is finishes their turn.
      • 408.2.a. After that player’s turn is complete, five additional turns are played, and then the match ends.
      • 408.2.b. If the game is incomplete at the end of the additional turns, the winner of the game is the one with the highest score. If scores are tied, the game is a draw.
      • 408.2.c. Additional turns are untimed, but at high OPL a judge must be present to ensure a reasonable pace of play.
      • 408.2.d. If the players are between games when the round time ends, no new game is started.
    • 408.3. The winner of a match is the first player who reaches the appropriate game win score.
      • 408.3.a. If neither player has reached that score by the end of the end of match procedure, the player with more game wins wins the match.
      • 408.3.b. If players are tied on game wins, the match is a draw.

Learn to Play with the Gnomes: Trio

Learn to Play Fountains with Gnome Games!  Wednesday, December 10th at 7pm, one of the Gnomes will be helping players learn to play the quick and fun card game Trio!

This is a Free event! Seating is limited, but we’re looking to help introduce more players to great games every Wednesday during our Board Game night!

We’ll go over the basics of the game and then jump into playing the game with the Gnome community!
