Prepare to step into the vibrant world of mystery at your favorite Gnome Games store, as it is transformed into a scene of intrigue and suspense. A beloved figure has fallen, and sinister whispers hang heavy in the air. Could it be the charismatic, competitive Barnaby “Mana Burn” Bolt, forever vying for supremacy? For one event at each store only, Gnome Games transforms into a stage for murder and mayhem. You are no longer just patrons seeking prereleases and preordained packs. You are investigators, thrust into a tangled web of deceit and suspicion.

Matches are 30 minutes, best of one. Each round won awards players with a pack of Sword Art Online Vol. 2. What is Union Arena?

UNION ARENA is a “Common Rules Trading Card Game”, which means players only need to learn 1 set of rules to play this card game using characters from series they love. Union Arena Solo Leveling Release Event at Gnome Games Appleton East – $30

Join us at Gnome Games Appleton East for our Union Arena Solo Leveling Release Event!

On Saturday, March 21st at 2 PM, compete in an exclusive release event tournament for Solo Leveling! This is a sealed style tournament, where players first open up packs to make their deck, then play against each other. Rounds are based on attendance, with 4 rounds being the highest possible rounds. 16 players is our maximum capacity. Matches are 35 minutes, best of one. Participants all receive a Premium Release Event Pack and two exclusive Sung Jinwoo promo cards, and the grand Winner receives a Winner foil stamped Sung Jinwoo promo card!

Entry is $30. Players must register ahead of time on Bandai TCG+.

What do I need to know for Deckbuilding?

Because of the nature of sealed events, decks can contain more than four cards with the same card number. It can also contain more than four of each of the Special, Color, and Final trigger types. 5 booster packs contribute to creating as close to a 60 card deck as possible. A deck needs 3 Action Point cards, Raids can be performed using cards with two different colors, and five Special triggers can be in a deck. Bring your own sleeves from home or purchase some before the event!

Join us at Gnome Games Appleton East for our Gundam Card Game Newtype Challenge 2026 Mission 2!

On Friday, March 20th at 5 PM, compete in an exclusive Newtype Challenge tournament! This is Mission 2 for the 2026 year. Bring your best decks to compete for packs, limited promotional cards, and most importantly, bragging rights! Rounds are based on attendance, with 5 Rounds being the most rounds possible. We are not running Top Cut for this event. Matches are 30 minutes, best of one. Participants receive a GD03-114 Look of Determination promo card, Top 4 receive a ST07-011 Lockon Stratos (Neil) promo card, and the grand Winner receives a ST07-005 Gundam Dynames promo card!

Entry is $15. Players must register ahead of time on Bandai TCG+.

What is required for this event?

Players must have a tournament legal deck. These consist of a total of 50 cards, made up of Unit cards, Command cards, Pilot Cards, and Base cards that have up to two unique card colors. A deck cannot contain more than 4 cards with the same card number.

A resource deck requires 10 resource cards. Any tokens required for the registered deck should also be present.

What are Newtype Challenges?

Newtype Challenges are a competitive level event for the Gundam Card Game. These are local tournaments recommended for intermediate to advanced level players looking to test their skills, held at select locations only! A step above regular weekly tournaments, players get exclusive prizing for participation, as well as exclusive top cut prizing based on performance. Battle and see if you have what it takes to be the top Gundam Card Game player!

Yu-Gi-Oh! Genesys Celebration Event at Gnome Games Appleton East

Join us at Gnome Games Appleton East for our Yu-Gi-Oh! Genesys Celebration Event!

On Sunday, March 15th at 1 PM compete in an exclusive Genesys Celebration tournament for the chance to win an exclusive playmat! The point limit for this Genesys tournament is 100. Rounds are the regular 50 minutes, best of 3. Rounds are based on attendance, with 5 rounds and no Top Cut being the most rounds possible. Each round won awards players with a Prize Pack, and the grand Winner receives a Genesys Celebration playmat! One random player at the end of the tournament also receives a Genesys Celebration playmat. This playmat cannot go to the winner so two different players get the playmat!

Entry is the purchase of any 3 Yu-Gi-Oh! booster packs. Players may register ahead of time on the NEURON app, and are encouraged to do so. The NEURON app is for entry, results submission, pairings, deck lists and more!

What is Genesys?

The Genesys rules are simple:

No Link Monsters or Pendulum Monsters are available. All other cards are. Players use the original field layout, with no Extra Monster Zones nor Pendulum Zones.

The standard Forbidden & Limited Cards list does not apply. All of these cards are available, except Link Monsters and Pendulum Monsters. The usual limit of 3 copies max of any card still applies.

Deck construction uses a point system. Some cards are assigned a point value; most cards cost zero points. The total point cost of cards in your Main Deck, Extra Deck, and Side Deck (combined) cannot exceed the point cap (our event is set to 100 points!)

Monday, April 6th at 6pm we invite players to play together with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Commander Party set of rules!

SETUP: Before the game begins, shuffle the Pizza cards together, Mystery Pizza side face up, to create a Mystery Pizza deck.

GAMEPLAY: If a Mystery Pizza card would be put anywhere other than the battlefield, put it on the bottom of the Mystery Pizza deck. At the beginning of your end step, if you don’t control a Mystery Pizza, put the top card of the Mystery Pizza deck onto the battlefield under your control. It’s a Food Equipment artifact with these abilities: Whenever equipped creature deals combat damage to a player, you may flip this card. If you do, resolve its effects, then put it on the bottom of the Mystery Pizza deck.

Color Identity

A card’s color identity can come from any part of that card, including its casting cost and any mana symbols in its text. Every card in your Commander deck must only use mana symbols that also appear on your commander. Colorless cards are allowed as well.

Command Zone

This is where your commander resides during the game when they are not in play. At the start of the game, each player puts their commander face up into the command zone. A commander can be cast from the command zone for its normal costs, plus an additional two mana for each previous time it’s been cast from the command zone this game. If your commander would be put into your library, hand, graveyard or exile from anywhere, you may return it to your command zone instead.

Commander Damage

A player that’s been dealt 21 or more combat damage by the same commander over the course of the game loses the game. The commander is tracked across zone changes for this purpose (for example, if one player takes control of another player’s commander, any damage that commander already dealt is still counted).

Magic the Gathering: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Two-Headed Commander Party

Green bay west courierJoin the Gnomes at Gnome Games Green Bay West for some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fun with a Two-Headed Giant Commander Event celebrating this totally Turtle Power filled set on Monday, March 30th!

Two-Headed Giant Commander Night is a new Commander event in which players can earn promo cards by pairing up to battle other two-player teams. If you’re new to Commander, or want to come out with your friends and play with the new set, this is the perfect opportunity to do so!

Play follows the normal Two-Headed Giant rules, with a few added exceptions:

  • Each team starts with 60 life.
  • A team loses when they take 21 or more damage from a single commander OR have 15 or more poison counters.

We have partnered with Lucky 7 and will be hosting a Learn To Play Event along side adorable, adoptable dogs rigth at the rescue! The event will be March 22nd from 1-4pm at Lucky 7 Dog Rescue. The rescue is located at 239 N Broadway, Green Bay, WI 54303. While attending the event, any participant who makes a donation to the rescue will be entered to win a one-of-a-kind Fluxx Art Card! These specialty cards have been designed by local artists! There is no amount requirement for the donation; anything that helps out the doggies is highly appreciated!

Learn about Lucky 7

Lucky 7 Dog Rescue began in 2015 when founder Maddy Szymanski discovered a video of seven mixed-breed puppies scheduled for euthanasia at an overcrowded shelter in Texas. At just 20 years old and new to animal welfare, Maddy teamed up with friends Sam and Elizabeth, drove to Houston, and helped rescue the puppies by partnering with Lola’s Lucky Day to bring them to Wisconsin for adoption.

What started as a single rescue mission quickly revealed the urgent challenges facing southern shelters. After eight months and ten trips to Texas, Lucky 7 Dog Rescue was officially born.

Today, the organization is a volunteer-run rescue dedicated to helping dogs in need while strengthening the bond between people and pets. Through fostering, adoption, education, and partnerships with rescue organizations, Lucky 7 continues working to save lives and support communities across Wisconsin and beyond.

Learn to Play Market Fresh with Gnome Games!  April, March 15th at 7pm, one of the Gnomes will be helping players learn to play the produce stacking board game Market Fresh!

This is a Free event! Seating is limited, but we’re looking to help introduce more players to great games every Wednesday during our weekly Board Game Night!
