Prepare to step into the vibrant world of mystery at your favorite Gnome Games store, as it is transformed into a scene of intrigue and suspense. A beloved figure has fallen, and sinister whispers hang heavy in the air. Could it be the charismatic, competitive Barnaby “Mana Burn” Bolt, forever vying for supremacy? Or perhaps the gentle Lyra “Land Whisperer” Willowbrook, championing environmental awareness? Every Planeswalker amongst us becomes a suspect, and every card cast holds a clue.

Magic the Gathering: Spider-Man Final Battle at Gnome Games Appleton East – $20

Join us at Gnome Games Appleton East for our Magic the Gathering: Spider-Man Final Battle!

On Sunday, November 2nd, we will be hosting a competitive level one-time event present by Magic the Gathering referred to as the Spider-Man Final Battle! Starting at 1 PM, players will sit and play in 3 rounds of a Swiss style tournament where each match they win, they win a pack! Each Magic the Gathering set usually has a Store Championship event where players can compete for special promotional items. For Spider-Man, this is being replaced with the Final Battle. Only the winner will take home a very special reward: an alternate cover art comic book variant of The Amazing Spider-Man #1!

What do I need to participate?

A Wizards account is required for entry. Participants have to come prepared with a fully legal Standard 60 card deck. For reference, current standard legal sets are the following:

Celebrate the release of the new Union Arena Yu Yu Hakusho: Ghost Files set with a Release Even this Saturday, November 1st! The event begins at 2 PM. Crack open 5 packs and battle it out in 3 rounds of a Swiss style tournament to win more packs! Every participant receives a release event pack and a special promotional card with Yusuke Urameshi on it! One triumphant winner will get the Winner promo card of Yusuke Urameshi!

What do I need to know for Deckbuilding?

Because of the nature of sealed events, decks can contain more than four cards with the same card number.  It can also contain more than four of each of the Special, Color, and Final trigger types. 5 booster packs contribute to creating as close to a 60 card deck as possible. A deck needs 3 Action Point cards, Raids can be performed using cards with two different colors, and five Special triggers can be in a deck. Bring your own sleeves from home or purchase some before the event!

On Saturday, November 8th, we are celebrating the 3rd Anniversary of the One Piece Card Game with the release of the new set -CARRYING ON HIS WILL-[OP-13]! Join us at 2 PM for a special Sealed event. Open up 6 packs of [OP-13], craft a 40-card deck and a 10 DON!! card deck, then battle it out in 3 rounds of Swiss tournament style matches! Participants will each receive a 3rd Anniversary Tournament 3 Brothers Pack, which includes a 3rd Anniversary Leader Card + 1 of 3 cards at random, as well as a 3rd Anniversary Tournament Pack! For winner cards, we have ST01-012 Monkey.D.Luffy, OP07-053 Portgas.D.Ace, and OP09-027 Sabo silver foil and gold stamped promos!

There are no banned or restricted cards, and players can include as many copies of cards with the same card number as they like. Any cards left over from deck construction are treated as sideboard cards. Unlike standard play, you can ignore the normal deck building color restrictions based on your leader and can include cards of any color in your deck!

Star Wars Unlimited: Secrets of Power Prerelease Event – Green Bay West

Join the Gnomes for the Secrets of Power Prerelease! Star Wars fans and Unlimited players:

November 1st
Starting at 2:00pm
Entry is $35*

We’ll be playing 3 rounds of play after players build a minimum 30 card deck with 1 base and 1 leader. Each round is a best 2 of 3 match, with a 55 minute time limit. When you win your match, you’ll win a pack of Secrets of Power!

After 3 rounds of play, each player will get an additional booster as a participation prize!

What is a Prerelease Event?

Prerelease Events take place the week before the official release date of a new set. Each Prerelease Event involves a sealed tournament and allows players to get ahold of cards from the new set early. With booster packs given out as additional prizing, these events are a fun, relaxed way to dive into a new set and try out what the new cards have to offer!

You can use any common base for your deck, even one that did not come from one of the booster packs you opened. You can only use a rare base if it was in one of the booster packs you opened.

Your draw deck can include any number of copies of the same card.
