Join us at Gnome Games Appleton East for our Union Arena Kagurabachi Rare Battle!

On Saturday, March 28th at 2 PM, compete in an exclusive Rare Battle for Union Arena, themed after Kagurabachi! Using decks themed solely around Kagurabachi, battle against other players in a Swiss style tournament to claim victory over others and take home limited promos! Rounds are 30 minutes, best of one. Each match won awards players with a pack of Kagurabachi! Participants all receive an Event Pack Vol. 7, 4th through 2nd place receive a Union Rare Chihiro Rokuhira promo card, and the grand Winner gets a Union Rare (winner vers.) Chihiro Rokuhira promo card!

Entry is $15. Players must register ahead of time on Bandai TCG+. Decks must be tournament legal and themed around Kagurabachi.

What is Union Arena?

UNION ARENA is a “Common Rules Trading Card Game”, which means players only need to learn 1 set of rules to play this card game using characters from series they love. In UNION ARENA you can find many popular characters from various series on the cards! Make a deck with characters from your favorite series and enjoy battles that even cross series!

Through 3 rounds, earn packs for every win, as well as promos based on placement. All participants receive a P-115 Boa Hancock, a Monkey D. Luffy Leader Card, and an OP15 Release Event Pack. The grand Winner receives a special Winner stamped P-115 Boa Hancock​!

Rounds are 30 minutes, best of one. Rounds are based on attendance.

March Pokémon League Challenge at Gnome Games Appleton East – $5/$10

Join us at Gnome Games Appleton East for our March Pokémon League Challenge!

On Saturday, March 28th at 12 PM, compete in our monthly League Challenge! Find out who’s the top Trainer through Swiss style rounds based on attendance! Each round is 30 minutes, best of one. Each match won awards players with a Prize Pack! Placement in this tournament also rewards players with Championship Points towards getting an invite to the Pokémon World Championships!

Entry for Juniors and Seniors is $5, and Masters is $10. Players must have a deck list for the deck they are playing with. Blank deck lists are available at the front counter for any day-of deck lists.

Players need a Pokémon ID to enter into the tournament. Don’t have one? We can help you sign up! We have sheets available in-store, and the rest of the registration process can be done at home.

What is a Pokémon League Challenge?

Pokémon League Challenges are competitive level tournaments at the Local Store level. These events are entry-level competitions, great for competitors of all experience levels! League Challenges specifically grant Championship Points toward earning an invitation to the Pokémon World Championships. League Challenge events are typically held once per month at select Pokémon League locations. These events use the Standard format, and require decks to be Tournament legal.

At higher levels are Pokémon League Cups. Typically held quarterly, League Cup event competitors can expect a step up, with tougher competitors vying for greater rewards. These also offer greater rewards, including more Championship Points and a Championship Playmat!

On Tuesday, March 24th at 6 PM, come compete in an exclusive sealed release event for the newest CookieRun: Braverse set, A Game of Truth and Deceit! Open up 7 packs, build your own deck, and battle against others in a 3 round Swiss style tournament! Matches are 30 minutes, best of one. Each match won awards players with a promo pack. We’re giving out a Cookiemals promo card to each participant!

On Friday, March 27th at 5 PM, come compete in an exclusive release event for the newest Gundam Card Game starter deck, Destiny Ignition! Through 3 rounds of a Swiss style tournament, find out who uses the newest deck the best! Rounds are the usual 30 minutes, best of 1 format. Decks are handed out at seating, and participation promos are given out at the end of the event. For participation, players receive a RP-044 Resource 〈Shinn & Impulse Gundam〉, and the Winner receives an additional promo card!

Entry is $40. Players must register ahead of time on Bandai TCG+.

One Piece Sealed events consist of 6 booster packs given to each player during a deck-building phase of the tournament. Each player brings 10 don, and may either utilize the leader card given as part of entry, a leader card pulled from one of the packs, or a leader they bring from home.
Unlike standard play, you can ignore the normal deck building colour restrictions based on your leader and can include cards of any colour in your deck, and there are additional special rules for deckbuilding.

After opening 6 packs, players build a 40-card deck, and a 10 DON!! card deck. There are no banned or restricted cards, and players can include as many copies of cards with the same card number as they like. (There is no 4-card limit and 5 or more copies of a card with the same card number can be included in decks.) Any cards left over from deck construction are treated as sideboard cards.

After everyone’s decks are built, we’ll play 3 rounds, where each round you win, win’s you a pack of OP-15 as a prize!

Participation promos go out to every player during the first round, and the winner gets a winner stamped Boa Hancock!

The card reads: “Give up to 1 rested DON!! card from its owner’s cost area to its owner’s Leader or 1 of their Characters.”

Build-A-Bunny Lego Easter Event at Gnome Games Appleton North!

Hop on over to Gnome Games Appleton North for an event of bunny Lego building and sweet treats!

Build your very own cute Lego Easter Bunny and enjoy some sweet treats on April 4th from 2pm-3pm! Entry to the event is $10, and gets you a Lego Creator Cute Easter Bunny and a goodie bag of candies! We’ll have Gnomes available to assist with the Lego build as needed!

Bring the whole family to enjoy building Lego Bunnies together! Add the bunny to your Easter decorations or make a new tradition of building the Easter Bunny every year!

Learn to Play with the Gnomes: Catan

Learn to Play Catan with Gnome Games! Wednesday, April 29th at 7pm, one of the Gnomes will be helping players learn to play the classic island settling board game Catan!

This is a Free event! Seating is limited, but we’re looking to help introduce more players to great games every Wednesday during our weekly Board Game Night!

We’ll go over the basics of the game and then jump into playing the game with the Gnome community!
