On Thursday, March 19th at 5:30pm, take part in a Pokémon Prerelease for Mega Evolution – Perfect Order! Crack open a Build & Battle kit, craft a deck, and see how you do in a 3 round Swiss style tournament! All participants get 3 packs of Perfect Order at the end for playing in the 3 rounds! Players have 30 minutes to build their decks. Rounds are 30 minutes, best of one.

Each Build & Battle Kit contains 4 Mega Evolution – Perfect Order Booster Packs and a 40-card ready-to-play deck. These also contain one of four unique foil promo cards for Pokémon like Mega Zygarde ex, Mega Clefable ex, Mega Starmie ex, and Meowth ex. What is a prerelease?

A prerelease is a type of event that gives players the chance to get product early. In the case of Pokémon, people can participate in events before the set comes out. Each person receives a Build & Battle kit, which consists of a random 40 card deck and 4 packs of the set. Then they battle it out in 3 rounds of a Swiss style Tournament and receive extra packs at the end for participating! Players get to keep all of the cards that they get from prereleases.

The Prerelease format allows players to compete using a 40-card deck with four Prize cards set aside at the start of play. This is different from the usual 60-card deck with six Prize cards. Due to the limited card pool and the variance of cards that can be acquired in a Build & Battle Box, Prerelease events are also a great opportunity to flex your creative deck-building muscles.

How do you play in a Star Wars Unlimited Prerelease?

At the beginning of a sealed play event, you will open six booster packs. You must use the cards within those packs to build a deck while adhering to the following rules:

Your deck must consist of exactly one leader, exactly one base, and a minimum 30-card draw deck. Your sideboard includes all of the other cards you opened from your packs.

You can use any common base for your deck, even one that did not come from one of the booster packs you opened. You can only use a rare base if it was in one of the booster packs you opened.

Your draw deck can include any number of copies of the same card.

The winner of a sealed play match is determined by best-of-three games in a 55-minute round.

What’s a Universus Prerelease? There are some special rules to follow:
