Entry for the Open Play Commander event is the purchase of any Magic: The Gathering Booster or Magic product of $5 or more.
Prizes / Rewards include Promos, Promo Packs and other cool Magic: The Gathering swag. Prizes are awarded randomly to participating players throughout the three pods of play.
We seat pods at 3:30pm, 5:30pm, and 7:30pm to help players get multiple games in with different players!

Join us on June 29th at 1pm for a special afternoon of Commander at Gnome Games Appleton North!
Today we’ll be hosting our Magic Presents: Pride event! This special take on Commander gives all Legendary Creatures the “Partner” Keyword, meaning a deck can have 2 Commanders (the bonus commander still counts towards the 100 cards). Commanders that already have abilities like partner won’t let players have more than two commanders at this event, but we applaud the enthusiasm. Whether you’re building the dream team you’ve always wanted to see, or modifying an old classic to give it new tricks we hope to see you all there for an awesome day of Commander fun!

MTG x FINAL FANTASY Commander Party at Gnome Games Appleton North!
For thee Commander Party Events players will complete quests as they play! Players get a special Emblem to create a Hero Token for this event only! Then as players play they can try to meet certain requirements to get rewards! Once a player completes all 5 of the unique quests, they Win the Game!
On top of a fun and unique Commander Experience, players who buy in also get a special Culling Ritual and Despark!
What’s a Commander Party?
A Commander Party is a unique way of playing Commander that features variant rules to spice up gameplay! At these events players get to play their favorite Commander Decks with a twist! All you need to have fun is a positive attitude, and a Commander Deck!
