One Piece Sealed events consist of 6 booster packs given to each player during a deck-building phase of the tournament. Each player brings 10 don, and may either utilize the leader card given as part of entry, a leader card pulled from one of the packs, or a leader they bring from home.
Unlike standard play, you can ignore the normal deck building colour restrictions based on your leader and can include cards of any colour in your deck, and there are additional special rules for deckbuilding.

After opening 6 packs, players build a 40-card deck, and a 10 DON!! card deck. There are no banned or restricted cards, and players can include as many copies of cards with the same card number as they like. (There is no 4-card limit and 5 or more copies of a card with the same card number can be included in decks.) Any cards left over from deck construction are treated as sideboard cards.

After everyone’s decks are built, we’ll play 3 rounds, where each round you win, win’s you a pack of OP-15 as a prize!

Participation promos go out to every player during the first round, and the winner gets a winner stamped Boa Hancock!

Gnome WestThere is an errata to one card from this set: Arlong OP15-023:
The card reads: “Give up to 1 rested DON!! card from its owner’s cost area to its owner’s Leader or 1 of their Characters.”
The errata has the card actually be: “Give up to 1 DON!! card from its owner’s cost area to its owner’s Leader or 1 of their Characters.”

Magic the Gathering: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Two-Headed Commander Party

Green bay west courierJoin the Gnomes at Gnome Games Green Bay West for some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fun with a Two-Headed Giant Commander Event celebrating this totally Turtle Power filled set on Monday, March 30th!

Two-Headed Giant Commander Night is a new Commander event in which players can earn promo cards by pairing up to battle other two-player teams. If you’re new to Commander, or want to come out with your friends and play with the new set, this is the perfect opportunity to do so!

Play follows the normal Two-Headed Giant rules, with a few added exceptions:

  • Each team starts with 60 life.
  • A team loses when they take 21 or more damage from a single commander OR have 15 or more poison counters.

More info on Two-Headed Giant Rules can be found here: https://magic.wizards.com/en/formats/two-headed-giant

Companion App Code: J28G86M

Commander Rules

Play Rules/Modifiers

This format is for four players per game and deck sizes are 99 cards + 1 commander card. The game duration for this format should be about 20 minutes per player. The Commander format is all about picking your hero and building a deck around them. In this casual, multiplayer format, you choose a legendary creature or artifact to serve as your commander and build the rest of your deck around their color identity and unique abilities. Players are only allowed one of each card in their deck, with the exception of basic lands, but they can use cards from throughout Magic‘s history.

Color Identity

A card’s color identity can come from any part of that card, including its casting cost and any mana symbols in its text. Every card in your Commander deck must only use mana symbols that also appear on your commander. Colorless cards are allowed as well.

Command Zone

This is where your commander resides during the game when they are not in play. At the start of the game, each player puts their commander face up into the command zone. A commander can be cast from the command zone for its normal costs, plus an additional two mana for each previous time it’s been cast from the command zone this game. If your commander would be put into your library, hand, graveyard or exile from anywhere, you may return it to your command zone instead.

Commander Damage

A player that’s been dealt 21 or more combat damage by the same commander over the course of the game loses the game. The commander is tracked across zone changes for this purpose (for example, if one player takes control of another player’s commander, any damage that commander already dealt is still counted).

What is a prerelease?

A prerelease is a type of event that gives players the chance to get product early. In the case of Pokémon, people can participate in events before the set comes out. Each person receives a Build & Battle kit, which consists of a random 40 card deck and 4 packs of the set. Then they battle it out in 3 rounds of a Swiss style Tournament and receive extra packs at the end for participating! Players get to keep all of the cards that they get from prereleases.

The Prerelease format allows players to compete using a 40-card deck with four Prize cards set aside at the start of play. This is different from the usual 60-card deck with six Prize cards. Due to the limited card pool and the variance of cards that can be acquired in a Build & Battle Box, Prerelease events are also a great opportunity to flex your creative deck-building muscles.

What is Riftbound?

Riftbound is a collectable trading card game featuring a vast array of characters and locales from League of Legends. Choose a Legend and Chosen Champion card for your deck and battle it out between 2 to 4 players in various game modes! The most important card in your deck is your champion legend. This is the card you build your deck around—it determines your options for the chosen champion who starts faceup on the board and who you’ll send to fight for you, and it defines the domains (colors) of your deck’s cards.

Your legend and your chosen champion define your strategy. Maybe your plan is quick strikes, maybe it’s to build up an unstoppable huge army, or maybe it’s to use one incredibly powerful and mobile fighter. You’ll have additional units (and other champion units) to send to fight, spells to help them win, and even gear to empower your team.

For a more guided How to Play experience, take a look at the Riftbound How to Play website!

End of Match Procedure can be used to determine a winner if time runs out:

  • 408.4.a. When time is reached before a winner is determined, if players are in-between games, if a player has more game wins in the match they win the match. If game wins are tied, proceed to 408.4.d.
  • 408.4.b. When time is reached before a winner is determined, if players are in the middle of a game, the player whose turn it is finishes their turn.
  • 408.4.c. After that player’s turn is complete, three additional turns are played. At the conclusion of those additional turns:
    • 408.4.c.1. If a player has the most points in the current game, they win that game. Then, if a player has more game wins in the match, they win the match. If the game score is tied, proceed to 408.4.d.
    • 408.4.c.2. If the point score of the current game is tied, but a player has the most game wins in the match, that player wins the match.
    • 408.4.c.3. If the point score of the current game is tied and the game score of the match is tied, players continue to play until the next point is scored. The player who scores that point wins the match. This does not remove normal scoring restrictions if the next point is the Final Point. See CR 448.1.a. for Final Point details.
  • 408.4.d. If the game score is tied and a new game needs to be started, players start the new game and act as though time immediately runs out, beginning the process of 408.4.a., except with five additional turns following the first player’s turn before moving into sudden death scoring as described in 408.4.c.3. if the point score is tied at the end of those turns.
