It’s Vol. 4 of the Gnome Games Green Bay East Marvel: Super Heroes Prerelease series! It’s time for a 2-Headed Giant prerelease event at Gnome Games Green Bay East! Build your dream super team of Heroes and Villains, then suit them up with iconic gear and unleash earthshaking abilities.

Add an expansive casts of beloved characters from your favorite Marvel Comics into your Magic the Gathering collection! Magic: The Gathering | Marvel Super Heroes draws on decades of Marvel history, it brings together iconic Super Heroes, notorious villains, and unforgettable Marvel Comics’ moments into one incredible release!

All participants will receive a special-themed Prerelease kit to build a 40-card minimum deck (we provide basic lands), then play in a 3-round, best-of-3 tournament! Win a match, win a booster pack of the new Marvel: Super Heroes.

How does a 2-Headed Giant Prelease work?

These events are hosted at Gnome Games and let you play with a new set a week ahead of its release!

Prereleases are run as Sealed events, which means you’ll construct a 40-card deck out of the contents of your Prerelease kit and any number of basic lands. For more information from Wizards on the prerelease, check here: https://magic.wizards.com/en/formats/sealed-deck

Play, plan, and battle as a team. In Two-Headed Giant, the life total is shared and starts at 30 life. In Two-Headed Giant, each two-player teams shares a starting 30 life and takes their turn simultaneously. The team does not share any other resources other than life. For instance, any reference to “you” on a card still applies to the individual holder.

Effects that read “each opponent” or “each player”, however, affect each team member separately. Players can block any creature(s) that are attacking them, their teammates or Planeswalkers their team controls.

Two Headed Giant Commander: Secrets of Strixhaven at Gnome Games West

Join us at Gnome Games Green Bay West for some Secrets of Strixhaven Chaos with a Two-Headed Giant Commander Event celebrating this Magic-filled set on Monday, June 15th!

Two-Headed Giant Commander Night is a new Commander event in which players can earn promo cards by pairing up to battle other two-player teams. If you’re new to Commander, or want to come out with your friends and play with the new set, this is the perfect opportunity to do so!

Play follows the normal Two-Headed Giant rules, with a few added exceptions:

Each team starts with 60 life.
A team loses when they take 21 or more damage from a single commander OR have 15 or more poison counters.

We showed off a handful of cards from the set at New York Comic Con, which featured cards from the main set and its Commander deck. Now, we’re taking these reveals beyond New York City (and its sewers) and straight to you. Cowabunga to Gnome Games’ Saturday 2HG prerelease! When you register for a Prerelease event, you’ll receive one Prerelease Kit. Which contains 6 packs for you to create a 40 card deck with.

2-Headed Giant is a format where two players team up to face off in 2v2 matches. Each team takes turns rather than each player.

Our 2HG prerelease is our classic Sealed event. 3 Rounds of Swiss Win-A-Match-Win-A-Pack! We have a limited amount of seats so make sure to preregister!
