Gnome Games Green Bay West is looking for an outgoing, enthusiastic, and community-minded Retail Game Gnome to join our team!
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys people, games, and being part of a team. The right candidate will be comfortable starting conversations, getting involved in events, teaching games, and helping create an energetic atmosphere in the store.

Position Details
Location: Gnome Games Green Bay West
Hours: Full-Time, approximately 32-40 hours per week
Pay: $14–$15 per hour, depending on experience and interview performance
What You'll Do
As a Retail Game Gnome, you'll help with all aspects of the store while playing an active role in building our gaming community.
Retail & Customer Service
- Greet customers and create a friendly, welcoming experience from the moment they walk through the door
- Talk with customers about their interests and recommend games, TCG products, RPGs, and hobby products
- Develop product knowledge and stay familiar with the games and hobbies we carry
- Process sales accurately and efficiently
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and keep the store clean and inviting
- Receive, organize, and maintain inventory
- Answer questions about products, events, promotions, and store programs
Community & Events
- Help host and facilitate tournaments, leagues, learn-to-play events, and other in-store activities
- Be an active and enthusiastic presence during events
- Welcome new players and help them feel comfortable participating in the community
- Teach games and help customers learn new hobbies when appropriate
- Assist with event setup, organization, and cleanup
- Engage with customers and regulars to help build relationships and strengthen our gaming community
- Help create an inclusive, fun environment for players of all ages and experience levels
- Look for opportunities to get people playing, talking, and involved
Teamwork
- Work closely with other Gnomes to keep the store running smoothly
- Communicate clearly with coworkers and managers
- Jump in wherever you're needed during busy shifts
- Take initiative rather than waiting to be told what needs to be done
- Support your teammates and contribute to a positive work environment
Who You Are
We're looking for someone who:
- Is outgoing, friendly, and comfortable talking to all kinds of people
- Genuinely enjoys gaming and tabletop hobbies
- Wants to be an active part of the local gaming community
- Is excited by the idea of hosting and participating in events, rather than simply working behind the register
- Enjoys teaching games, explaining things, or helping new players get started
- Can confidently interact with groups of people and help keep events organized and engaging
- Is a strong team player who is willing to jump in and help wherever needed
- Is reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Can stay positive and customer-focused during busy periods
- Communicates clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers
- Is comfortable taking initiative and working independently when necessary
- Is eager to learn about new games, products, and hobbies
- Has retail, customer service, event, or community experience (preferred, but not required)
What Matters Most
You don't need to know every game we sell. You don't need to be an expert in every TCG or have years of retail experience.
We're looking for someone who wants to learn.
The most important things are that you're personable, dependable, willing to work as part of a team, and genuinely excited about helping people find their place in the gaming community.
