Yu-Gi-Oh! Genesys Weekly Tournaments at Gnome Games Appleton East – $5

Join us at Gnome Games Appleton East for our new Yu-Gi-Oh! Genesys Tournaments!

We are running the new Yu-Gi-Oh! Genesys format! With a new twist on our classic weekly tournaments, participants will have to follow the new Genesys ruleset provided by Konami to build their decks. Genesys uses a new point system and older card archetypes that makes a new unique format!

Every Wednesday will transition from our standard Yu-Gi-Oh! Tournaments to the new Genesys format. Our entry free will stay at $5 and our prizing will remain the same. This new format is for letting players experience Yu-Gi-Oh! in a refreshing new way while feeling like the older days of the game!

What is Genesys?

The Genesys rules are simple:

• No Link Monsters or Pendulum Monsters are available. All other cards are. Players use the original field layout, with no Extra Monster Zones nor Pendulum Zones.
• The standard Forbidden & Limited Cards list does not apply. All of these cards are available, except Link Monsters and Pendulum Monsters. The usual limit of 3 copies max of any card still applies.
• Deck construction uses a point system. Some cards are assigned a point value; most cards cost zero points. The total point cost of cards in your Main Deck, Extra Deck, and Side Deck (combined) cannot exceed the point cap (our event is set to 100 points!)
