The card-pool includes arena-cards (weapons\, equipment\, etc.)\, and deck-cards that will start in the player’s deck. \nA card can only be included in a Player’s card-pool if the card’s class/talents are a subset of the hero’s class/talents (e.g. a Light talent card can only be included in a card-pool if the hero has a Light talent). Generic cards can be included in any card-pool. \nA card-pool may contain up to 3 copies of each unique card. A card is unique if it has a different name AND pitch value from another card. (e.g. Sink Below (red) is unique compared to Sink Below (blue) because they have different pitch values) \nThese rules are subject to the effects of the hero or cards in the card-pool\, which may allow or limit what cards can be included. (e.g. Heroes with “Essence” allow certain talented cards to be included\, even if the hero doesn’t have the same talent. Decks can contain no more than 2 copies of any Equipment\, Food\, Legends\, Paint Brushes\, and Potions. They may contain no more than 1 copy of any Faerie\, Hero\, Petpet\, unique Map Piece\, or Villain and may contain any number of Codestones. You can have a Neopet Deck of at least 3 and up to 5 Neopets of different species (all 5 must have a different name)\, and a Rainbow Pool with up to 10 unique Rainbow Pool Neopets. Additional cards may have unique rules text having them start in your Rainbow Pool. These cards do not count towards the 10 Rainbow Pool Neopet limit. We’re hosting Thursday tournaments each week at 5:30pm for this new format\, with $5+tax entry. Like our Advanced Format tournaments it is Win-A-Match\, Win-A-Pack\, with OTS packs being up for grabs! \nBut what is Genesys?\nA new format of play and deck building that allows for more potential cards to be used! \nThe Genesys rules are simple:  \n\n\n\nNo Link Monsters or Pendulum Monsters are allowed. All other cards are allowed. The original field layout is used\, with no Extra Monster Zones nor Pendulum Zones. \nThe standard Forbidden & Limited Cards list is not used. All those cards can be used\, except Link Monsters and Pendulum Monsters. Usual limit of 3 copies max of any card still applies. \nDeck construction uses a point system. Some cards are assigned a point value; most cards cost zero points. The total point cost of cards in your Main Deck\, Extra Deck\, and Side Deck (combined) cannot exceed the point cap for that event. \n The standard point cap is 100\, but events can be run with any point cap\, or even a zero-point cap! Official Tournament Stores can set their own caps for their tournaments.\n\n\n\n\nGnome Games is using the standard point cap of 100 for these tournaments. These exclusive\, competitive level events offer packs\, exclusive prizing\, and a Round 1 bye at the Regional Qualifiers to the winner! Rounds depend on attendance\, and at most are 5 Rounds with a Top 8 Top Cut. Our rounds are 60 minutes\, best of 3. \nEach round won awards players with an Unleashed pack! Top Cut is also timed\, with play speed and overtime kept in mind. Top Cut single elimination playoffs are 60 minutes\, best of 3. Each player that participates receives a participation promo card\, the top 8 receive a promo card\, and the grand Winner gets a Champion playmat! Keep an eye out for updates on the specific promos. \nAt high OPL\, during playoff matches that occur following the end of Swiss rounds\, the higher ranked player from the Swiss rounds is automatically the designated player for the first game of each match. \nEntry is $15. Players must register ahead of time on the Riftbound event locator. To sign up\, players must have a carde.io account and a linked Riot account. \nWhat is Riftbound?\nRiftbound is a collectable trading card game featuring a vast array of characters and locales from League of Legends. Choose a Legend and Chosen Champion card for your deck and battle it out between 2 to 4 players in various game modes! The most important card in your deck is your champion legend. This is the card you build your deck around—it determines your options for the chosen champion who starts faceup on the board and who you’ll send to fight for you\, and it defines the domains (colors) of your deck’s cards. \nYour legend and your chosen champion define your strategy. Maybe your plan is quick strikes\, maybe it’s to build up an unstoppable huge army\, or maybe it’s to use one incredibly powerful and mobile fighter. When time is reached before a winner is determined\, if players are in-between games\, if a player has more game wins in the match they win the match. If game wins are tied\, proceed to 408.4.d.\n408.4.b. When time is reached before a winner is determined\, if players are in the middle of a game\, the player whose turn it is finishes their turn.\n408.4.c. After that player’s turn is complete\, three additional turns are played. At the conclusion of those additional turns:\n\n408.4.c.1. If a player has the most points in the current game\, they win that game. Then\, if a player has more game wins in the match\, they win the match. If the game score is tied\, proceed to 408.4.d.\n408.4.c.2. If the point score of the current game is tied\, but a player has the most game wins in the match\, that player wins the match.\n408.4.c.3. If the point score of the current game is tied and the game score of the match is tied\, players continue to play until the next point is scored. The player who scores that point wins the match. This does not remove normal scoring restrictions if the next point is the Final Point. See CR 448.1.a. for Final Point details.\n\n\n408.4.d. If the game score is tied and a new game needs to be started\, players start the new game and act as though time immediately runs out\, beginning the process of 408.4.a.\, except with five additional turns following the first player’s turn before moving into sudden death scoring as described in 408.4.c.3. if the point score is tied at the end of those turns.

DESCRIPTION:Join the Gnomes on Saturdays at 12:30pm for a Riftbound Nexus Tournament!\n3 rounds of play\, with Win-A-Match\, Win-A-Pack prizing! \nEach match will be best 2 of 3\, 60 minute round. \nThis is a casual Local Constructed tournament with Swiss rounds! \nNexus Night promo packs will be awarded based on availability! \nHere are some pertinent tournament rules to follow!\nYou may have a sideboard\, following official rules: \n\n601.1.c.1. A player’s sideboard can include 8 or fewer cards.\n403.3. Limits on copies of named cards as defined by competition format apply to the combination of Main Deck and sideboard.\n403.4. Players may use sideboard cards to modify their deck in between games of a match. Sideboard cards must be exchanged 1 for 1 with Main Deck cards.\n\n403.4.a. During that time\, a player may change their Chosen Champion to one from their sideboard or Main Deck that meets the deckbuilding rules of the competition format.\n403.4.b. In constructed formats\, a player may not change their Runes\, Legend\, or Battlefields at any point after deck registration.\n403.4.c. After the sideboarding process\, a player’s Main Deck must meet deck size requirements dictated by the competition format.\n\n\n403.5. Players may use those cards to modify their deck after the first game of a match.\n403.6. Players may count the cards in their opponents’ sideboards at any time.\n403.7. A player may look at their own sideboard at any time\, but must keep it distinguishable from other cards.\n403.8. A player’s deck and sideboard must be returned to their registered states before the first game of the next match.\n\nMatch \n\n404.1. A match of Riftbound consists of a series of games that are played until one side has won a predetermined number of games.\n404.2. Most matches of Riftbound are “best of 3\,” meaning the predetermined number of games to win is 2.\n404.3. Games that end in a draw do not count toward this goal.\n404.4. If the competition round ends (due to time limits) prior to any side achieving the goal\, the winner of the match is the one who has won the most games.\n404.5. If all sides have equal game wins\, the match is a draw.\n\n408. End of Match Procedure \n\n408.1. A match is complete once a match result is recorded by players or a tournament official.\n408.2. If the time limit for a competition round is reached before a winner is determined\, the player whose turn it is finishes their turn.\n\n408.2.a.
