This exclusive event gives you the opportunity to earn VIP status at an upcoming Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series event! This is an Advanced Format\, Constructed Deck\, Swiss style tournament. Rounds are based on attendance. For reference on Advanced format rules\, check here! Each round won awards players with a pack! Rounds are 50 minutes\, best of 3. \nThe 1st place Duelist is eligible to receive a prize package at the Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series Event! This includes free entry to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series Event\, a Two-Round BYE in the YCS\, assigned VIP seating\, and a VIP Field Center. The VIP winner will have to register for the YCS. VIP Registration is enabled approximately 1 week after the end of VIP Qualifiers. \nPlayers must have a Konami ID to participate. Registration opens at 11:30 AM. DESCRIPTION:Yu-Gi-Oh! Genesys is at Gnome Games Green Bay East on Saturdays!\nThe latest format for Yu-Gi-Oh! Genesys has arrived at Gnome Games! We’re hosting Saturday tournaments each week at 12:00pm for this new format\, with $5+tax entry. Like our Advanced Format tournaments it is Win-A-Match\, Win-A-Pack\, with OTS packs being up for grabs! \nBut what is Genesys?\nA new format of play and deck building that allows for more potential cards to be used! \nThe Genesys rules are simple:  \n\n\n\nNo Link Monsters or Pendulum Monsters are allowed. All other cards are allowed. The original field layout is used\, with no Extra Monster Zones nor Pendulum Zones. \nThe standard Forbidden & Limited Cards list is not used. All those cards can be used\, except Link Monsters and Pendulum Monsters. Usual limit of 3 copies max of any card still applies. \nDeck construction uses a point system. Some cards are assigned a point value; most cards cost zero points. The total point cost of cards in your Main Deck\, Extra Deck\, and Side Deck (combined) cannot exceed the point cap for that event. \n The standard point cap is 100\, but events can be run with any point cap\, or even a zero-point cap! Official Tournament Stores can set their own caps for their tournaments.\n\n\n\n\nGnome Games is using the standard point cap of 100 for these tournaments. DESCRIPTION:You’re invited to the Burst Protocol Premiere Weekend at Gnome Games Green Bay East! Friday\, Saturday\, and Sunday\, January 20th to February 1st! \nEntry is $22.50+tax\, getting the entrant 5 packs of Burst Protocol and a Field Center Card celebrating the set! Each entrant will also be entered into a drawing for prizes! \nBurst Protocol contains: \n\n10 Secret Rares\n14 Ultra Rares\n26 Super Rares\n50 Commons\n\n(25 cards available as Starlight Rares!) \n“Rokkets” return in Burst Protocol\, along with the latest “Forbidden” Quick-Play Spell Card: Forbidden Crown! \nDepicting the struggle of powers above and below\, the “Forbidden” series of Quick-Play Spells started way back in 2009. Forbidden Crown is the sixth\, and the one with the most effects (so far)! \nAs the saying goes\, “heavy is the head that wears the crown.” The monster chosen by Forbidden Crown gets hit with ALL of these effects for the rest of the turn: \n\nIts effects are negated.\nIt can’t attack.\nIt can’t be destroyed.\nIt’s unaffected by card effects – except its own.\nIt can’t be Tributed\, or used as Fusion\, Synchro\, Xyz\, or Link Material.\n\nAnd finally\, neither player can use monster effects in response to the Crown to try and stop it. \nSince the Crown\, like all “Forbidden” Quick-Plays\, can be used on either turn\, you can use it on any monster\, friend or foe\, as offense or defense\, depending on the situation. You can stop your opponent’s monster effects\, disrupt their Summoning strategy by making a monster unusable as material\, or make it indestructible while it’s stuck in Attack Position so you can run over it again and again to smash their Life Points. On the other hand\, you can use it on your own monsters to protect them from enemy card effects\, from being destroyed in battle\, and from being used as material by your opponent. And since it opens so many possibilities\, it’s a great card to Set if you’re going first\, because it always has a great use. \nEvery Duelist who purchases a minimum of 5 packs will receive a Field Center Card* and be entered into a drawing to win exclusive prizes including a Game Mat* and a Secret Rare Card*! \nThe Premiere!
