Friday\, Saturday\, and Sunday\, January 20th to February 1st! \nEntry is $22.50+tax\, getting the entrant 5 packs of Burst Protocol and a Field Center Card celebrating the set! Each entrant will also be entered into a drawing for prizes! \nBurst Protocol contains: \n\n10 Secret Rares\n14 Ultra Rares\n26 Super Rares\n50 Commons\n\n(25 cards available as Starlight Rares!) \n“Rokkets” return in Burst Protocol\, along with the latest “Forbidden” Quick-Play Spell Card: Forbidden Crown! \nDepicting the struggle of powers above and below\, the “Forbidden” series of Quick-Play Spells started way back in 2009. Forbidden Crown is the sixth\, and the one with the most effects (so far)! \nAs the saying goes\, “heavy is the head that wears the crown.” The monster chosen by Forbidden Crown gets hit with ALL of these effects for the rest of the turn: \n\nIts effects are negated.\nIt can’t attack.\nIt can’t be destroyed.\nIt’s unaffected by card effects – except its own.\nIt can’t be Tributed\, or used as Fusion\, Synchro\, Xyz\, or Link Material.\n\nAnd finally\, neither player can use monster effects in response to the Crown to try and stop it. \nSince the Crown\, like all “Forbidden” Quick-Plays\, can be used on either turn\, you can use it on any monster\, friend or foe\, as offense or defense\, depending on the situation. You can stop your opponent’s monster effects\, disrupt their Summoning strategy by making a monster unusable as material\, or make it indestructible while it’s stuck in Attack Position so you can run over it again and again to smash their Life Points. On the other hand\, you can use it on your own monsters to protect them from enemy card effects\, from being destroyed in battle\, and from being used as material by your opponent. We’re hosting Saturday tournaments each week at 12:00pm for this new format\, with $5+tax entry. Like our Advanced Format tournaments it is Win-A-Match\, Win-A-Pack\, with OTS packs being up for grabs! \nBut what is Genesys?\nA new format of play and deck building that allows for more potential cards to be used! \nThe Genesys rules are simple:  \n\n\n\nNo Link Monsters or Pendulum Monsters are allowed. All other cards are allowed. The original field layout is used\, with no Extra Monster Zones nor Pendulum Zones. \nThe standard Forbidden & Limited Cards list is not used. All those cards can be used\, except Link Monsters and Pendulum Monsters. Usual limit of 3 copies max of any card still applies. \nDeck construction uses a point system. Some cards are assigned a point value; most cards cost zero points. The total point cost of cards in your Main Deck\, Extra Deck\, and Side Deck (combined) cannot exceed the point cap for that event. \n The standard point cap is 100\, but events can be run with any point cap\, or even a zero-point cap! Official Tournament Stores can set their own caps for their tournaments.\n\n\n\n\nGnome Games is using the standard point cap of 100 for these tournaments.
