Pokemon Sword and Shield League Cup Season is here!

Gnome Games brings you the Sword and Shield Season Pokemon League Cups!

Pokemon Trainers it’s your chance to earn Championship Points on your way to the Pokemon World Championship by playing at Gnome Games! We have 3 League Cup Tournaments for you to play in during the Sword and Shield Season.

These are competitive events and players must bring a decklist, a legal 60 card deck, a randomizer, condition markers and damage counters. (Download a Decklist here)

What can I win?

All of the Gnome Games League Cups are best of 1, 30 minute rounds with the round winner getting 2 boosters for each round win!

Plus each age division winner takes home a sweet League Cup Championship Playmat

Players also earn Championship Points based on their final finish and promo cards are give out to players too while supplies last.

Gnome Games will host a Pokemon Celestial Storm League Cup Tournament at all Gnome Games stores.

It’s time to kick off the 2019 Pokemon Championship Season in style with the  Pokemon Celestial Storm League Cup Tournaments at Gnome Games.

Gnome Games Pokemon League Cup Information!

Entry

  • $10 – Juniors
  • $15 – Seniors
  • $20 – Masters

Format – Standard

  • Swiss Rounds will be best of 1 – 30 Minute Rounds
  • Top Cut will be best of 3 – 60 Minute Rounds

Prizes –

  • Swiss – Win a Match – win 2 Boosters. Draws each player gets 1 Booster.
  • Top Cut – Win a Match – win 2 Boosters.
  • Participation promos* – while supplies last (RARE CANDY)
  • Any player that plays in all swiss rounds and has not won 2 or more boosters will receive 1 or 2 boosters so that all players receive at least 2 boosters at the event
  • Winner gets a League Cup Championship Playmat*
  • Championship Points awarded by Pokemon
  • *Prizes provided by Pokemon subject to change

Decklists are required and will be collected when we seat the first round. Any player that does not have a completed decklist when we seat round 1 will get a 1st Round Loss.

Pokemon Sun & Moon—Forbidden Light League Cup coming in June

Gnome Games will host a Pokemon Sun & Moon—Forbidden Light League Cup at each of our stores in June!

Pokemon Trainers – it’s time for the last set of League Cup Tournaments for the 2018 Championship Season at Gnome Games.

Here is the schedule of Pokemon Sun and Moon – Forbidden Light League Cup events:

Pokemon League Cup Tournament Details

  • Entry for each Pokemon League Cup is $20 per player + tax
  • Preregistration for the Pokemon League Cup is highly advised to ensure you have a seat.
    On site registration will open 30 minutes before each League Cup for any remaining available seats.
  • All players must check in with a complete Deck registration form no later than 15 minutes before the event is scheduled to start.
    Anyone who has not turned in a completed Deck registration Sheet by the Tournament Start Time may receive a 1st game loss.
  • Swiss rounds will be best of 1 game matches
  • Top Cut will be best of 3 game matches
  • Win a match, win 2 Boosters for all rounds.
  • The winner in each age division will receive a Greninja League Cup Champion Playmat

All Gnome Games Pokemon League Cup events are Standard Format. The current Standard format includes all cards from the XY—BREAKthrough expansion forward, XY Series promo cards numbered XY67 and higher, and all Sun & Moon Series promo cards.

 

We will also coordinate League Challenges so that all players have the best possible chance to play in all of the Gnome Games Pokemon Championship Series events.  Watch for the League Challenge Date announcements in early June.

Pokemon Crimson Invasion League Cup Information

Pokemon League Cup at Gnome Games are all Standard Format Tournaments

Players need to have a deck list filled out and turned in prior to the start of the tournament. All players need to bring a deck legal in the Standard Format as well as damage counters and a randomizer (translucent die, official Pokemon coin, etc).
Rounds will be 30 minutes plus 3 turns.

We will then cut to top cut based on attendance. Top cut rounds will be 60 minutes plus 3 turns.

Registration fee:

  • $20 – Masters
  • $10 – Seniors
  • $10 – Juniors

Attendance will be limited at some locations and Preregistration is highly encouraged to ensure you get a seat in your age division.

Minimum attendance allocations:

  • Junior 16
  • Senior 16
  • Masters 32

All other seats will be first come first seated.

If you register online, you MUST check in at the event to confirm your spot in the event no later than 30 minutes before the event starts.

There are no refunds if you are a no show, online preregistration is fully refundable up to 1 day prior to the event.

Deck lists must be turned in no later than 15 minutes before the start of each event

Please have deck lists complete, legible and make sure they accurately list the cards in your deck

If you do not have a deck list complete, you may receive a Round 1 loss.

ROUND 1 WILL SEAT ON TIME!
WE WILL NOT DELAY START WITH THE EXCEPTION OF SNOW DELAYS WHICH WILL BE ANNOUNCED IF NECESSARY.

  • Each Round is win a Match – Win 2 Boosters for every round including Top Cut, and players receive a promo card while supplies last
  • 1st – Playmat, and Promo Card and Championship Points based on attendance

JUNIOR & SENIOR

  • Each Round is win a Match – Win a Booster for every round including Top Cut
  • 1st – Playmat, and Promo Card + Championship Points based on attendance
  • 2nd – Promo Card + Championship Points based on attendance
  • 3rd & 4th Promo Card + Championship Points based on attendance

Championship Points are awarded by Pokemon and are based on attendance at the event. Players are responsible for providing correct POP ID at the event

Number of rounds and top cut is based on attendance in each division.
