The game of Tak, simple to learn but complex to master, was born from the mind of Patrick Rothfuss in the second installment of the Kingkiller Chronicle, The Wise Man’s Fear. No rules were in the book because at the time, none existed! With time, Tak was born into an elegant two-player abstract strategy game. To win, a player must use their stones to build a “road” and connect two sides of the board. Players go back and forth, creating roads and placing walls to foil their opponent. Much like chess or mancala, this beautiful game is deep and intriguing, with countless strategies to master. This university edition is smaller and more portable than ever before.
