They offer great ways to pick up and learn the game\, while highlighting iconic archetypes and characters from the franchise. \nWhat is Yu-Gi-Oh?\nIn Yu-Gi-Oh!\, two players Duel each other using a variety of Monster\, Spell\, and Trap Cards to defeat their opponent’s monsters and be the first to drop the other’s Life Points to 0. Players draw cards from their respective decks and take turns playing cards onto “the field”. Each player uses a deck containing forty to sixty cards\, and an optional “extra deck” of up to fifteen cards. Battle it out in 3 rounds of a Swiss style tournament using your very own constructed decks. Each match won awards you with an OTS pack! If you haven’t received one by the end of the event\, you get one just for participating! \nWeekly tournaments are a great way to hang out\, test out new decks\, chat about Yu-Gi-Oh!\, and more! Our entry fee is $5. Don’t have a deck? Check out our structure decks for sale in store! They offer great ways to pick up and learn the game\, while highlighting iconic archetypes and characters from the franchise. \nWhat is Yu-Gi-Oh?\nIn Yu-Gi-Oh!\, two players Duel each other using a variety of Monster\, Spell\, and Trap Cards to defeat their opponent’s monsters and be the first to drop the other’s Life Points to 0. Players draw cards from their respective decks and take turns playing cards onto “the field”. Each player uses a deck containing forty to sixty cards\, and an optional “extra deck” of up to fifteen cards. Head in to buy 5 packs of the newest set ($22.50+tax) and qualify for a giveaway! At the end of each day\, we’ll do a giveaway of all participants for a K9-X “Ripper/M” promotional card and a Burst Protocol Premiere playmat! On Sunday at 1 PM\, we’re having a tournament! Buy 5 packs of Burst Protocol for entry and participate in an Advanced Constructed tournament where rounds are based on attendance! At most\, that is 5 rounds without Top Cut. \nPlayers must have a Konami ID to participate. Purchases must be made with a Konami ID. Entry to any Premiere! Participation or Premiere! Tournament is $22.50+tax\, which is the cost of 5 packs. If packs are purchased ahead of time for the participation event on Sunday\, entry is also granted to the tournament at 1 PM. Giveaways for playmats and promo cards are done separately from the tournament. Players cannot win more than one promotional card and one promotional playmat throughout the duration of the weekend. \nWhat is Burst Protocol?\nDepicting the struggle of powers above and below\, the “Forbidden” series of Quick-Play Spells started way back in 2009. Forbidden Crown is the sixth\, and the one with the most effects (so far)! \nAs the saying goes\, “heavy is the head that wears the crown.” The monster chosen by Forbidden Crown is hit with ALL of these effects for the rest of the turn: \nIts effects are negated.\nIt can’t attack.\nIt can’t be destroyed.\nIt’s unaffected by card effects – except its own.\nIt can’t be Tributed\, or used as Fusion\, Synchro\, Xyz\, or Link Material.\nAnd finally\, neither player can use monster effects in response to the Crown to try and stop it. \nSince the Crown\, like all “Forbidden” Quick-Plays\, can be used on either turn\, you can use it on any monster\, friend or foe\, as offense or defense\, depending on the situation. You can stop your opponent’s monster effects\, disrupt their Summoning strategy by making a monster unusable as material\, or make it indestructible while it’s stuck in Attack Position so you can run over it again and again to smash their Life Points. On the other hand\, you can use it on your own monsters to protect them from enemy card effects\, from being destroyed in battle\, and from being used as material by your opponent. DESCRIPTION:Join us at Gnome Games Appleton East for our Union Arena Sword Art Online Volume 2 Release Event!\nOn Saturday\, January 31st at 2 PM we’re hosting another release event for Union Arena! Take part in the release of Sword Art Online Volume 2 in a 3 round Swiss style Tournament! Players will open 5 packs of Sword Art Online Volume 2 and use them as a deck to compete in matches. Each round won awards players with an additional pack! Each participant gets a Release Event Pack and an Asuna [Progressive] promotional card. One Winner will get a special Winner foil stamped Asuna [Progressive] promotional card! \nEntry is $30*. Players need to register ahead of time on Bandai TCG+. \nWhat do I need to know for Deckbuilding?\nBecause of the nature of sealed events\, decks can contain more than four cards with the same card number. It can also contain more than four of each of the Special\, Color\, and Final trigger types. 5 booster packs contribute to creating as close to a 60 card deck as possible. A deck needs 3 Action Point cards\, Raids can be performed using cards with two different colors\, and five Special triggers can be in a deck.
