Gnome Games sponsors Big Wheel Races and Bike Races at Kids Night – Back to School Night at “The Burg” Speedway in Luxemburg Sunday August 9, August 3.

It’s almost time for the kids to go back to school and that means this Sunday it’s time for the kids to go racing at the Burg Speedway in Luxemburg!  Kids get in free, back to school backpacks loaded with supplies, Big Wheel Races, 2 Wheeler race for $50 cash and fun for the whole family!

Gnome Games is sponsoring Big Wheel Races and a $50 Dash for Cash in the Unlimited Class during the races at  the Burg Speedway in Luxemburg.

Kids should bring their Big Wheels (or bike for ages 9-13) to the races and register between 3:30  and 5 PM. The Big Wheel and 2 Wheeler Dash for Cash will be held during intermission.

Come Early to meet the drivers, get autographs and check out the cars!

The great drivers the Gnomes sponsor are bringing their cars to the front gate before the races for you to check out!  Meet great drivers like “Big Money Jay Matthias. Eddie the Eagle, multiple track champion “Budzo” Chris Budzban, last years state  Champion Vince Engebretson, “Buns” Hunter Parsons, Jake Burt and more.  Check out their cars, get some autographs and meet the guys behind the wheel before the races!

The Burg Speedway and a number of great sponsors have put together Free Back to School Backpacks full of supplies for the kids!
These folks have gone out of their way to make the back to school experience of race fans a little easier and a lot more fun!

 

 

There are 3 Classes for the Kids Night Races

  • 3 Wheelers (Big Wheels, trikes and 3 wheelers)
    • Destroyer Class – Ages 5 & under
    • Lightning Class – Ages 6-8
  • 2 Wheel Unlimited (2 Wheel Class) – Ages 9-13

All Racers are responsible for checking in between 3:30 PM – 5 PM and bring their Big Wheels / Bikes under the grandstand.

Helmets are required to race.

The Destroyer Class and the Lightning Class will race the length of the front straightaway and the winner will receive the 2020 Big Wheel Championship Trophy.
All Racers will receive a commemorative Medal!

The Unlimited Division will race one full lap around the track with the winner receiving the 2020 Dash for Cash Championship Trophy and $50 cash.
The Unlimited Division will have a staggered start based on age.

Entry for these races is free, and all racers must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

All racers must provide their own Big Wheel or bicycle to race and all Unlimited Racers must wear a helmet.

Street Stock Cars winners get bonus payout from Gnome Games with the fastest payout on dirt!

The Street Stock Cars are where the rubber hits the dirt this season, so we’ll be giving each of the Stock Car Heat, Consolation and Feature Winners $50!  The Head Gnome will be paying out right in Victory Lane!

Without these drivers bringing their cars to the track every week, there wouldn’t be any racing, and this is a small thank you to all the drivers that make this sports fun for all ages.

Pokemon Trainers it’s your chance to earn Championship Points on your way to the Pokemon World Championship by playing at Gnome Games! We have 3 League Cup Tournaments for you to play in during the Sword and Shield Season.

Pokemon Club – Create a Gigantamax Pokemon January 18th!

Pokemon Fans – join us at Pokemon Club Saturday January 18th to create a GIGANTAMAX POKEMON CARD!

Gnome Games Pokemon Club meets every Saturday and is the place for young Pokemon fans to enjoy all things Pokemon! Saturday January  18th at all Gnome Games stores – we’ll be going big with the Create a Gigantamax Pokemon Card Event!

Pokemon Club is designed for young Pokemon fans, ages 12 and under, to enjoy everything Pokemon at Gnome Games every Saturday. Older siblings are welcome, and parents are encouraged to participate as well. Spend part of your Saturday with us playing your favorite Pokemon games and making fun arts and crafts! Pokemon Trading Cards, Video Games, and even Pokemon Go! is encouraged at the Gnome Games Pokemon Club.

Pokemon Club is geared toward the younger generation of Pokemon fans, but everyone is encouraged to come help grow the community! Make trades on Pokemon Go and other Pokemon Video Games, help a new friend build a fun new deck, or just hang out and watch the TV show. There’s something here for everyone! Pokemon Clubs is free for all Pokemon fans ages 12 and under.

Gnome Games invites young Pokemon Fans to join us for the Gnome Games Pokemon Club Holiday Fun Day Saturday December 14th. This event is free and give young Pokemon Fans a chance to write their Pokemon trainer Letters to Santa, Decorate Pokeball Cookies and have a lot of fun with other Pokemon fans! What’s happening at the Gnome Games Pokemon Club Holiday party?

First all Pokemon fans will be able to become and official Pokemon Trainer! We’ll get you a special Pokemon ID number – that officially makes you a real Pokemon Trainer!

You don’t have to know how to play Pokemon, or have any cards or a DS. As long as you are a Pokemon fan – you can be a Pokemon Trainer.

We’ll decorate some Pokemon Holiday Pokeball Cookies you can take home for Santa, or enjoy at Pokemon Club.

You can write your letter to Santa – and we’ll make sure he gets it!

You can play Pokemon! We’ll have some of the Gnome Games Pokemon Professors on hand to explain the basic of the Pokemon Trading Card game to both new players and parents.

Official Pokemon Club every Saturday at Gnome Games

Pokemon Fans – it’s official Pokemon has announced that Gnome Games is one of the 40 stores in the world that will premier as an official Pokemon Club location!

Everyone knows that Gnome Games is the place for all things Pokemon, with Pokemon Leagues, Pokemon Go, the legendary Gnome Games Pokemon Pajama League, and now we are one of the first stores in the world to bring you the Official Pokemon Club for new and younger Pokemon fans! We’ve already started the Saturday Pokemon Club Events at Gnome Games, but on November 23rd we kick off the official Pokemon Club at all the Gnome Games stores.

Pokémon Club, a new weekly event tailored for younger Pokémon fans begins November 23. All Pokémon Club meetups will take place exclusively on Saturdays, at Gnome Games stores where other Play! Pokémon events are already held. It’s an awesome way to meet other Pokémon fans in your community at family-friendly locations. This is the perfect weekly event for young Pokemon fans to learn about Pokemon, meet other kids their age and experience everything Pokemon in a safe welcoming environment.

Attendees can look forward to all kinds of Pokémon activities, including the Pokémon TCG, video games, animation, or just want to have Pokémon fun. The Gnome Games Pokémon Club organizers will have lots of resources, so everyone who attends can have a great experience. Pokémon Club events won’t feature any kind of formal competitions, so kids will be able to just show up and enjoy the world of Pokémon! Oh the Places we go! Anime Fusion October 18 – 20!

Anime Fusion 2019 with Gnome Games

The Gnomes are headed to Minnesota for Anime Fusion and a weekend of fun and games!

It’s time for Anime Fusion – Friday October 18 – Sunday October 20 and Gnome Games will be there with all of your favorite tabletop games. We have a full weekend of play opportunities scheduled and will have our traveling game library available for you to play from 10 AM until midnight every day!

Anime Fusion is celebrating 8 years this year with the theme of Infinite Possibilities and we are excited to be back for our second year with the convention. We’ll be playing in Conference Room F in the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

September Pokemon LEague Challenge Weekend at Gnome Games

Pokemon Trainers it’s time to start earning Championship Points with the September Pokemon League Challenge Weekend at Gnome Games Septeber 13, 14, 15!

Pokemon Trainers the 2020 World Championship Season is underway, and we’ve got a fun filled weekend of League Challenges planned for you September 13, 14, 15 at all of the Gnome Games stores.

You can get started in the world of competitive Pokémon TCG play at League Challenge tournaments. These events are small, entry-level events held on a local scale in stores like Gnome Games.

In Pokémon TCG League Challenge tournaments, players can earn Championship Points and work toward earning an invitation to the 2020 Pokemon World Championships!

Pokemon League Challenge events are open to all players in good standing with Pokemon. Entry to all the Gnome Games League Challenges are just $5.
Players need to bring their own legal Standard Format 60-card deck, along with a completed decklist that must be turned in when you register for the League Challenge.

No Experience? No cards? No problem!
Every new player will be given their very own Welcome Deck for Free! After a brief rules explanation from one of our staff, players will have a chance to play against each other in a friendly non-competitive learning environment!

Have you ever wanted to explore an ancient cave, battle a horde of goblins, solve a magical murder mystery or stockpile mounds of glittering treasure? If so you won’t want to miss this learn to play event!

Dungeons & Dragons is a cooperative storytelling game where each player role-plays an adventurer with unique (and sometimes magical) abilities. As a group, you will work together using each of your strengths to overcome a wide range of obstacles.

During the learn to play event, you will be provided a character and our on staff Dungeon Master will walk you through the basics of play in a one hour beginner adventure!

Learn to Play – Pokemon TCG

Unless you live under a rock, you surely have heard of Pokemon! This learn to play event is the perfect chance to see what the cultural phenomenon is all about!

In the Pokemon Trading Card Game, players collect cards, build decks and battle against other trainers. During this event players will be taught everything they need to know to play, by an official Pokemon Professor! After this brief explanation, you will then get to use a specific learn to play deck to play against other new players. Professor Nate will always be around help players and answer any questions that parents or players have! Best of all, after you play your first full game, you will get to pick an exclusive Pokemon League Promo card!

Learn to Play – Yu-Gi-Oh!

It’s Time To DUEL!
Yu-Gi-Oh is a hugely popular anime based card game, and with the recent release of the new Speed Duel starter decks, learning to play has never been easier!

In the game of Yu-Gi-Oh, players try and reduce each others life points to zero by summoning powerful monsters, unleashing devastating spells and outwitting their opponents with traps. Speed Duels has taken everything from the main game and condensed it so it is easier to learn and faster to play!

During this learn to play event, each player will get a starter set of 3 Speed duel decks and a special yugioh pen and notepad to track life points. After a brief rules explanation players will have a chance to use their new decks to duel other players! In addition, 4 lucky players will be given limited edition Yu-Gi-Oh Speed Duel Play mats as well!
